This webcast looks like it’s being filmed on a Nokia cell phone from 2007.

Its much better when the CF camera is facing the batter. That view from behind home plate looks bad. Much truer color & clarity from CF.

Webcast isn’t showing balls after they are hit.  Why even do this if it’s going to be so half assed?

Cameramen cost money. I think a producer has zoom in and out from both cameras but that's it. Better than nothing.

Took me a while to type that web address into my TV browser to get the video.

I wonder why it wasn't on mlbwebcast. com . The only thing I could get on it was the audio.

Hicks is just awful.  Waste of money

He's never had so much as a 1 WAR season; his 1 above average year was 2019 when he pitched 29 games.  Of all the ways to spend $12.5 million (which the Sox will owe next year).  It's the kind of "small" deal that Getz keeps making: it may look okay at first glance but  is really far more helpful to the other team.

Yep, with such a small budget, seems like a poor use of resources

Is he really worth $10-15 million?

They also thought Kicks could get back to his St.Louis self.

Sometimes you can outsmart yourself. trying to be too clever.

Why are we asking this question halfway through Spring Training?  For years Sox fans have been begging the front office to buy prospects by taking on bad money and when we finally do so people forgot how it’s supposed to work and then jump to conclusions (bad ones no less) on the prospect.  Anything we get from Hicks is pure upside…Sandlin is who will make or break the deal and we certainly need a lot more time to make any call there.

You understand we took on $17M to acquire Sandlin right?  He’s our 10th ranked prospect right now per multiple publications.  And it’s the type of deal that Getz and none of predecessors ever made, so not sure what you are talking about there.

Because even though the jury's still out on the Crochet trade, we get to list it as Boston "getting the best of" the White Sox until proven otherwise.
