The way the season is spiraling out of control, the Sox already have the worst record in the A.L. I guess they have nothing to lose.

Personally I wouldn't do it myself and stated why in another thread a few weeks ago but it is what it is.

Wish the kids well, how can they be worse than the stiffs and retreads populating the roster now.

How would Ed Herrmann, Ron Kittle or Ritchie Zisk respond to you calling them "retreads", just because they didn't win it all? I respect the s%*# out of your work, but you sure have no respect for the guys who play the game.

One guy can't fix this lineup but it is nice to see a fresh face that hopefully can put a small spark into the lineup.

I realize a lot of people hate the service time argument, but let’s be real. This team is still not ready to compete. Getz will be wasting a lot of service time. It sure seems like this is Getz’s last stand. Improve upon previous seasons or GTFO.

The nice thing about the guys coming up now is there’s a decent shot Ishbia will be in control before they reach free agency.

Well, I did forget about the upcoming expiration of the CBA in December. Perhaps Getz thinks the service time fuckjobbing may be taken away by next April.

My thoughts on this have nothing to do with Jerry. It’s more about saving service time but also factoring in the upcoming CBA expiration. We can save our bitching about Jerry for our ridiculously low payroll.

Yep, no reason he should ever be seen in LF again. At this point let him and Sosa share DH duties with the better scenario being to release Beni with Sosa becoming the full time DH.
