Can't remember the last time I saw the out made at home on a throw-through like that in a MLB game. Maybe because I watch the White Sox too much.

You’d be even more surprised if you had to watch as many 12-14u travel games like I do. Every throw ends up in CF.

On the hook for 7 million for him after this season

Like I said a week or so ago, he was seemingly giving up a lot of hard hit outs right at defenders in his starts. I think it’s finally leveling out. This guy was never successful in the majors before. Would have rather taken a flier on Giolito for one year and $5+ million or so, although I know all about the arbitration argument over a measly $50K.

Pretty empty tonight. At least nobody will be getting hurt by Angel HRs.

People need to get over the Giolito stuff. There were a lot more reasons not to go after him IMO than reasons to get him.

Maybe Newcomb will be starting after all. Kay could be a LOOGY. An expensive one...

Oh yeah I remember well how diabolical those plays can be at around that age level. I feel like my practices back in junior high were like 40% practicing the various 1st and 3rd scenarios. Only for nobody to do the right thing when the games happened...

Gio had some warning signs of his own in the numbers last year. I wouldn't have been upset if the Sox gave him the same contract they gave Kay, but I have a feeling he was asking for much, much more.

My favorite is practicing 1-6-3 double plays, despite the pitcher throwing it into CF literally every time in a game situation

I think they both end up backing up Schultz and Hagen/Shane Smith. Going to need a lot of relief innings this year.

who the f*** is this weirdo

i was wrong after my 5 inning impression, kay sucks.

An "sky" name is probably Russian. We don't like them.

I'm pretty sure he's a pierogi eating Pole.

Ant/Meidroth/Peters batting consecutively must be a dream for slap hitting fans

Is there a market that craves these interviews? I always hate them.

We're gonna need more pivo, or probably slivovitz at this point. f*** the light bulb

I always thought slivovitz was Serbian cuz Serbs introduced me to it in a home made version. You learn so much on soxtalk.

Ted Lasso’s assistant coach in the show.

Offense looks just awful once again. So many bad hitters.

Glad that was quick so I didn't have to listen to that guy anymore.

Remember opening day last year when the Angels left a pitcher out there to die during his MLB debut? What the hell was that about anyway?

I would have gone with another vet starter then. Point was getting a guy on a one year deal. Kay is more than likely going to be $12 million wasted on a bad lefty reliever once he is moved the the bullpen, and he’ll be back next year.

Yeah, Tyskie and Zywiec dominate the market. Okocim. If you ever find yourself in a Polak bar, Jeszcze dwa (yesh-che dva) means two more.

You talking about the guy who skipped the minors?
