I never imagined you'd put in Hill in LF and actually call that a better lineup. When he's just as bad as Acuna vs RHP, maybe worse. That pretty much left Benintendi for LF if you wanted a better lineup and then you have to change DH. But sure put Antonacci at 3rd after you just saw him get an interference call at 2nd base which is his natural position.Frankly the game results speak for themself .The Sox comitted no errors and Acuna didnt embarass himself offensively. And the world didnt end because Colson played 3rd in a pinch .It's called defensive flexibility. Its not exactly unheard of in the modern game .He's not exactly a butcher there. The whole reason for drafting SS is because they are athletic enough to field other positions. The coaching staff is awate of a lot more things than you are.Yeah it did as I said “Your regular SS plays SS and Sam plays 3B” for one example. Like the time in Oakland when he didn't walk the bases full to face a pitcher batting. It was dumb then, it is dumb now. They still may have lost that game but the move made no sense. Why pitch to a guy with the infield in where an out could score a run when you can pitch to a pitcher with the infield in, and if you get him, face a worse hitter with the infield at normal depth where an out gets you out of the inning?
Thursday at 02:20 PM2 days PCA Lol having glove trouble. Ball through his legs for a Brewer HR. Not too golden.

Who knew?

The White Sox have two guys who can play 3B at a top level. Vargas and Colson. They have 2 shortstops who play at that level, Acuña and Colson. Playing Ant at 3B takes a serious step down in coverage. I guess it's fun to find a wrinkle that makes us feel smart when we complain about it.

When the other team scores a run and wins the game, anybody who can think of any other option instantly believes their thought would have worked, therefore, is better and smarter. It's counterfactual bias.

It's just carping on a particular move because a run scored. If he decides to pitch to the guy in front of him, he's not paying attention. If he's running through spreadsheets to glean the tiniest advantage, he's over-managing.

Everything else which doesn't question, is completely accurate, of course.
