If he’s not leading off, SamAnt should bat 9th and be the second lead off hitter. Acuna and Hill should never bat higher than 7th and 8th, otherwise I have no issue with the lineup.

No real solution until we can get a better OF and Teel comes back but at least Sam breaks up three easy outs in a row between Quero and Acuna, Hill.

Sam isn't going anywhere.

Derek Hill hits lefties well.

And just for the sake of looking, Acuna is worse against lefties than Benintendi by about .200 OPS.

Also reviewing the game log, the guy on the Twins hasn't pitched more than 4 innings (only 4 IP the one time he was a starter/opener) so I guess the splits don't really matter much if he may not pitch more than a couple anyway.

Remove “and Hill” and put a period after “bat” and I would be in full agreement with this post.

Yea you're right 795 career OPS against LHP. I also thought he was a bit older, he's got an older face. Just turned 30 this winter. Maybe he's got a couple good years left in him as a platoon 4th OF.

I like it.

Aren’t we facing a RHP today or is he just opening?

Feels like we need to change this lineup now. No way Acuna should be playing at minimum and I’d definitely move Antonacci back to the leadoff spot.

At minimum, put Peters in CF and re-shuffle the order.

And the lineup has changed:

  1. Antonacci, LF (L)

  2. Murakami, 1B (L)

  3. Vargas, 3B (R)

  4. Montgomery, SS (L)

  5. Meidroth, 2B (R)

  6. Peters, CF (L)

  7. Grichuk, DH (R)

  8. Nishida, RF (L)

  9. Quero, CA (S)

Hill & Acuna out and lineup reshuffled.

Phew. With the kids out of the house, the only games that are a lock for me to watch are during the workday so glad I get to see more Nishida.

What a stupid ass trade by the Red Sox. Glad we were on the right end of getting an older prospect but still one with some growth potential for basically spare parts and some cash.

Sounds like you are becoming the newest member of #TeamGetz

Red Sox have been making terrible moves the last couple of years (no, I'm not talking about the Crochet one).

Edit: was just thinkin about how they dumped the face of their franchise for nothing and all of those guys have now moved on (including adding a prospect to dump Hicks haha). The Kyle Harrison deal is also a big time fumble. Also traded Tibbs for a couple of months of a bad Dustin May.

If the guy pulls off a miracle and has us contending for the playoffs into July this year and has another good offseason I'll crown his ass.

That new lineup is cooking. Good job.

Need to win here and beat up Detroit

they better win today
