5/31 gamethread 1:10 CDT Sox go for sweep of kitties

This Montero is having his best outing of the year. A RHP against this batting order, Sox shouldn't be letting this happen.

  • Eh, he's rocking a .771 OPS the last 28 games. He's gotten better after his horrendous start.

I was doing some research on Japanese good luck objects now that Murakami is on the bench. So I found an article https://japan-avenue.com/blogs/japan/japanese-good-luck-charm?srsltid=AfmBOoqGQ58oWuvpe

bases loaded 2 out walk, Boston ties it up 4-4

People often don't believe it when I tell them, but the Sox have hit LHP much better than RHP this season

Nshida? Yeah aside from two good throws home from RF he's been ass at the plate and looks shakey catching fly balls

He's not a MLB caliber player, nice story, will always have the last week to tell his family, but yea.

lol Murphy's not even close.

6-4 Boston

Might be a good idea to get Murphy out of there.

Get this jabrone out of there

Murphy is such a disappointment. Thank God for Hudson.

Will seems happy to punt this one.

Before today, Montero has given up 13 earned runs in 28 innings in the month of May! That’s about a 5.00 ERA.

Tigers trying to their best to hand it to us nonetheless.

Nice pick off

loooool wow, you suck ass bro

3 walks by Murphy in just 5 batters lol

Thank God. Picks the dude off and puts another one on

Couple hard hit balls haven't gone our way but for the most part Montero's been really good. Throwing a ton of strikes, not falling behind in the count very often and hitting his spots. Might just be one of those games. Would be good if the Sox could get some pressure on him in the 7th and get him out of there.

oh Eisert, thank god /green.

I guess I feel better knowing Murphy is not supposed to be on the 25 man.

The other two guys hit the ball over 100 mph. Suffice to say Murphy did not help himself today.

you know you suck as a reliever when you're a LHP being replaced by another LHP

Murphy has a good arm. A LHP that can throw 96-98 with decent movement on his secondary pitches. The problem is he can't throw a strike to save his life.

Not usually a good sign as a situational lefty on the fringe of the 26-man when you’re replaced by a situational lefty on the fringe of the 26-man.

Happen to look at the Charlotte stats and noticed that they have a Mario Camilletti batting at a 350 clip, and not a small sample sixe…42 games, 120 at bats. Listed as a third baseman. Anyone no anything about this guy?

Tigers have 5 walks already today
