The 1-0 ball preceding the walk is the hardest pitch Statcast has ever tracked from Rock, at either the AAA or MLB level. Might be a hint that he is over-exerting. Rock is basically a Bryan Hudson prototype with similar upsides and downsides. Downside being a gazillion walks of course (look at Hudson's 2025 stats)

But Hudson was a decent major leaguer the prior season at least.
