Sunday at 04:33 AM3 days I can’t believe Romo is this bad and that the Sox don’t want to give Lee/Haase a shot yet. Let’s use this thread to track any catchers that get DFA’ed going forward.

Sunday at 05:01 AM3 days Korey Lee hit above .250 in 40 plate appearances last year and had a .4 defensive WAR and a .3 overall. Romo is -.5 and. 1 defensively. Even though lee wasn't good his other years he is still light years ahead of romo offensively. Romo makes Vinny Crapa look like Luis Arraez. He is so bad offensively you have to do something else. Like release him. 7-81 is what he has done lately. You literally can't find a worse player. I don't care if he is ivan Rodriguez behind the plate. He is costing you runs and games. Romo had 1 extra base hit the last 2 months.

Sunday at 05:05 AM3 days Another stat. I found the lowest OPS in the last 30 years for players with 200 plate appearances. Drew is at 154 plate appearances i think. Drew Romo would be the 4th worst the last 30 years. Here are 3 worse. Edited Sunday at 05:08 AM3 days by Ozzie for Manager

And after looking Vinny up I have to correct myself. Capra has a .133 career batting average so he is only slightly better than romo.Vinny is actually having a hell of a year in AAA for Boston Edited Sunday at 05:12 AM3 days by Ozzie for Manager

He got a little bit typecast into the arrogant pompous old grouch role but he was a magnificent and hilariously funny actor. He was great not only in Caddyshack, but also Too Close for Comfort and the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Monday at 01:32 PM2 days Getz will have to ride it out with Quero/Romo the rest of the season, or until Bart or Teel possibly return. The timeline on Teel's rehab/ return is dubious. I suppose if any player could overcome the odds, it is him. He has the heart of a lion.
Monday at 02:06 PM2 days Quero had a good game yesterday and showed a lot of plate discipline......being selective usually leads to hitting that ball hard.I would still bring up Haase and send Romo down.

If Q could get back to his 2025 form it would be awesome.

MacIver, 29, spent part of last year as the Athletics’ backup catcher, hitting .186/.252/.324 in 32 games. His bat is generally considered better than his glove, which hasn’t helped his case for getting a fulltime backup gig. He was hitting .270/.344/.460 for Triple-A Buffalo this year.”

Charlotte needs catchers too. But I do mostly agree that they should just give him a shot again.
