We think we've been slumping, and yea we've had some boom or bust, but really it's been good. Need the pitching and defense to pick it up here. Playing some bad offenses should help. Cinci comes in after getting swept and mustering like 15 hits total against the Nats.

This year's win% in games where they score 2 or fewer (25.7%, 2nd in MLB) is higher than their season win% in 2024 (25.3%).More:In '24, they scored 2 or fewer in 73 games (most in MLB) and went 4-69 in those games. On the other side of the ball, they allowed 5+ runs 83 times and were 5-78 in those games. That's a more than 50% chance of allowing 5+ and a 94% (!!!) chance of losing when they did. The lowest win% in such games since at least 2011.Relatedly, they scored 5+ runs just 41 times (~25% of the time) in 2024. Comfortably last in the league, the next lowest team was the Rays at 53. It’s the perfect time for the bats to heat up.

I think Getz needs to find another right handed slugger to compliment what we have on the left handed side. So much of our power comes from that side.
