Why isn't Peters part of the core? Played an excellent CF with offensive numbers similar to Meidroth. He's also fast and could steal more than he does.
I get the sense that there is a concern that his 2026 production was luck-induced; that could be true, but it's not like he had some gaudy batting average propping things up. His walk rate could use improvement (for this regime; it would be top tier in prior regimes).

Look, if he was hurt ahead of time, this is not making it better.

To clarify, imaging after he pitched a few games with the Sox it seems.

Insee we are hanging onto when the imaging was done. But homework entails imaging and physicals before he was aquired. This does not answer if he was damaged goods or not until this is clear. Did the Sox get a clean bill of health?

I could not stand that dork Benetti but fans seemed to love him. Odd.

This has been said so so so many times and I’ve never heard one explanation as to what it actually means.

Is he a dork because he wears glasses? Because he makes references?

You nailed it.

To each his own...but I love Benetti! Miss him! In fact I have watched a lot of Tigers games the past two seasons simply because he calls their games. In my view...no one better. Different styles are good...the Padres booth is great...Benetti is great! The White Sox booth...ugh...

Question to consider for offseason spending: If it’s between pumping more money into ops/analytics to “fuel the foundation” or spending more on FA’s, which would you prefer?

Ideally it’s both, but, you know.

I don't need to see/hear obscure Three's Company references while you stuff a churro down your gullet.

Just scream into the mic at Mark Wegner or Joe West, and call the game like an adult.

Good enough explanation for you?

The Tigers own broadcast called him a geek like 3 weeks ago. He's a geek/nerd/dork.

Some people like dorks as their broadcasters. To each their own.

Doesn't change the fact that Bennetti is, in fact, a dork.

I've read where is speculation that Colson Montgomery could be traded this off season. I can't help but wonder what the White Sox would get in return for him. I couldn't imagine receiving any real good player for him. If they're not going to get anything decent for him maybe its just best that he stays here.

I think you are right...he stays here. But as for speculation...it feels like it is becoming a Joe Borchard situation although Colson has contributed more that Joe B did so far. And when we needed to give Joe B a change of scenery we ended up with Matt Thornton I think...which was alright. I would hope Colson would get more of a return than Matt Thornton though.

Given that his team squandered a 2-0 lead in the ALDS to the Cleveland Guardians, Chris Getz couldn’t exactly take a victory lap in his year-end media session with reporters on Wednesday, but although

"One message I thought was really well received on my end: A lot of people that followed the White Sox or tracked the White Sox, they really felt there was a team within our clubhouse; how they went about their business, how they played for each other. It was really giving us credit for helping the game, helping the game of baseball and the industry," he said.

How do you sustain or replicate that from one year to the next?

His style does work better for basketball and football.

Still working on spinning those baseball stories into a broadcast like a Scully, Harwell or Eucker, rather than trying to entertain and be a comedian with his 80s and 80s jokes and array of cultural references.

Possibly damaged goods when he was acquired, as the imaging on his shoulder was bad according to Getz today

Interesting, it seems like AJ is alluding to it being a phantom IL stint. If he was actually hurt and can put up more starts like the Cincy game it might not be the end of the world to have him around 1 more year.
