Two consecutive games ex Sox pitchers figured in losses lol

Andrew Vaughn cheated out of his big shot too

Edited by caulfield12

Milwaukee needs to unleash their secret weapon and start Andrew fucking Vaughn tomorrow. Play him in in the outfield if you have to - guaranteed to finish the job.

Brewers loss also means the Sox and Yankees are still the only teams to go 11-1 in the postseason.

2nd base or bust

Andrew Vaughn makes that play Joey Ortiz missed. Just sayin.

If the Brewers somehow blow this, Ortiz will have his name up there with Brandon Bostick for all time Wisconsin sports choke jobs.

It is crazy to me how many Brewers fans are here. I could get Yanks or Red Sox or Dodgers but Brewers fans taking over is something. This brewer team is something else!

It's because everyone with sense moved out of Milwaukee years ago...

1) I couldn't help but notice how loud the Brewer fans were. It sounded like they had more fans than the Rays. I wonder what % of fans were Brewer fans last night . 2) MLB use to make a annual World Series film which was sold on DVD. I have the World Series DVDs from 1943-2022. They stopped making the films after 2022. Wonder why they stopped producing them. Maybe not enough people were buying them but still I would think they would make them available to the fans who want them.

Outskirts of Milwaukee are all pretty nice. City itself is seeing some pockets but it is a weird little town.

Brewers pen management going to MeGill then pulling him so quickly was odd. Ashby is as unhittable a pitcher as you will see currently. That was a miss step by the Brewers but they could certainly afford it.

Outside of Pratt the Brewer offense was bad.

I honestly know nothing about Milwaukee, it was just a chance to take a cheap shot at Wisconsin

I think it's because tickets for a WS game were easier to come by in St. Pete than in Milwaukee for Brewers fans. The price of a flight to Tampa is nothing compared to what game tickets are going for on the secondary market.

Same was the case for Sox fans in Cleveland for the ALDS.

The ballpark experience in Tampa is dirt cheap in general for sure.

The Brewers have selected Pratt with the 182nd overall pick of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft.

A 6-foot-4, 195-pound prep shortstop from Mississippi, Pratt has one of the better hit tools in his class and easily projects to grow into more power as he fills out his frame. He combines excellent bat-to-ball ability with a strong eye at the plate, projecting to be an above-average or plus hitter in pro ball. Pratt's right-handed swing is smooth and quick, and given his frame, he could develop above-average or better power down the road. Despite his size, there's a decent chance he will stick at shortstop, at least early in his big-league career.

The fact he fell to Milwaukee in the sixth round suggests they made a big money-saving pick earlier on, perhaps with Mike Boeve in the second round and/or Jason Woodward and Ryan Birchard in rounds four and five, respectively.

White Sox just signed Cleavinger's brother this past July...fwiw

Left-handed pitcher Grant Cleavinger signed with the White Sox as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 MLB Draft out of Nebraska. And the start to his professional career includes numbers that are hard to believe.

Cleavinger, 22, is the younger brother of longtime MLB reliever Garrett Cleavinger, who is currently in the bullpen for the Tampa Bay Rays and has posted a 3.28 ERA over 233 career MLB appearances. Baseball bloodlines are usually a good sign, but during his college career at Nebraska, Cleavinger could never really figure out how to harness his swing-and-miss stuff.

***He played three years for the Cornhuskers after transferring in from Tulane. Over the course of his collegiate career, he posted a 7.83 ERA, largely due to 42 walks being allowed over 43.2 innings pitched.***

Still, 69 strikeouts over those 43.2 innings was good for 14.2 K/9. Combine that with the really promising spin rates on his fastball, and it was enough to intrigue the White Sox and convince them to give Cleavinger a chance as an undrafted free agent.

They claim it's only 35-40% Brewers' fans, but my God it's so loud in there...

Throwing a guy that's only gone 1 2/3 in the last couple of months...another team that simply ran out of quality relievers this postseason.

He’s the Miz, and nobody beats him.
