June 25, 200421 yr The Ortiz trade rumor is now on the front page of the official White Sox site. The RUMOR ... it is not a deal. Yet. It's a little unusual for the official site to have a story on the front page about trade rumors. To me, this lends a little credence to what the Score said. The writer on the Sox website basically repeats what the Score said and credits them as a source. I remember quickman and me talking about the timing of a trade a few weeks ago. We both agreed it would be during this nine game stretch of Cubs-Twins-Cubs. Williams is quoted as saying that making a trade was imperative even before Shoeneweis went on the DL.

June 26, 200421 yr i wouldnt mind getting Ortiz... only if KW doesnt consider this our big time SP pick up... if we could get Ortiz, Garcia/another good SP, and 2 people for bullpen help... then i would start to think that all of hell froze over and jesus is comming back! if something like this was to happen, KW and JR would score some HUGE points with chicago and its fans
