August 27, 200421 yr Grilli looks exactly like all the other 5th starters - pure s***. 3 walks and a 2 hits (including a blast) for the Injuns, 5-0 Tribe IN THE FIRST INNING. What's sad is that if the Sox faced all our 5th starters, they would probably be no-hit.

It really is to bad Wright got hurt, when he is/was healthy he's not THIS bad.

Ha, you know these guys were calling up are bad when someone says that Danny Wright was never this bad. If KW doesn't acquire another starter this offseason, he should never be allowed to be a GM again. Hawk is so pissed off right now.

The 5th starters we've put out on the mound have 3, sometimes even 4 bad innings. Wright could atleast give you 5 innings and be somewhat in the game. Damning with faint praise I know. I liked Wright as well, not looking too good on that right now.
August 27, 200421 yr There's a shocking low level of stuff that is being demonstrated by all the guys we keep calling up. I'd rather have a guy throw 96 mph and get hit hard than walk the world and give up homers on 87 mph heaters.
August 27, 200421 yr Damn nobody on our Minor league can step up and pitch good enough for us to win. What is being taught in the minors, walk batters and dont attack hitters? I think we lost more than 15 games bcoz of our 5th starters. We definitely need more pitching next year.
