Wise Master Buehrle
Man do I admire them. They're a real baseball team, plain and simple. They remind me so much of those old teams that used primarily their own players from the minors and kicked some major ass. One thing I'd like to point out. I think early August, the Twins finally cooled off after their massive hot streak and planting us 7 or 8 games behind. It looked as though they were ready to go in a slump for the rest of the month. After about a week of bad baseball, they dug themselves out of that hole and just restarted another hot streak. While the Sox... they're slump got into their heads and they slumped for a whole month and then on. If only our team had the mental integrity. Not to mention Frank and Maggs. WilliamTell
Yeeeeeeah, but it's hard for me to give credit to the Twins even though they deserve it, so I will give it to them. They just bug the heck ouf of me though.

WilliamTell
yes with the most annoying announcers, I live in Twins land, it's hard to deal with them winning.
witesoxfan
they're slump got into their heads and they slumped for a whole month and then on. The slump didn't get into their heads. What got into their heads was the realization that Maggs and Frank were gone for the year around the All-Star Break. When you lose a combined .280 70 220 .950 from the middle of your lineup, you will not adjust well to it. I do believe that if Frank and Maggs were healthy that we would be right in the thick of things.
DBAHO
They just called up their stud outfield prospect Jason Kubel as well, he's the reason why Kris Benson isn't a Twinkie right now.

BridgeportHeather
We Pwned the Twins at the Metrodome this year. Which isn't much of any help at this present moment. May the Twins die next year and our Sox take what has rightfully been their's the past four years!!!

He's got some awesome numbers in AAA. They have a nice crop of youngsters in Kubel, Mauer, Cain, etc.. to work with..

WHarris1
I'll take the Twins front two starters against anyone, especially if Santana stays this dominant... I would take the A's. But other than that...
witesoxfan
I would take the A's. But other than that... I'd take Pedro and Schilling too. But the Twins are a team that is very well contructed from top to bottom, and they are built for winning at all times, even in the postseason. That pen they have is pretty nasty at times. Let me just say that you should not be surprised if they were to win it all.
