Iowa State just missed a 24 yarder by about 24 yards to the right.

Would have pretty much vaulted them to the Big XII title game...

Wow Iowa State completely blew that out of their ass.

They had every chance in the world to win.

No Big XII title game for you.

Losing at home to a horrible Mizzou team... wow

Anybody think Colorado stands a chance against OU?

How not to win a conference championship: see 2004 Iowa St.

That was about as unexciting as a game can get aside from the fumble recovery. Mizzou played better, deserved to win. My guess is either Houston Bowl or Champs Sports for ISU now.

LOL, ISU choked twice. First they missed the FG and then ISU in overtime had a TE wide open who dropped a would be touchdown.

Once again showing why they haven't won the big 12 in like 80 years. Heads, I guess you guys dont' get to schedule ISU.

I'm also glad BC got the pissed knocked out of them. BCS needs to be seriously restructured.

Nope. The one time all season that Meyer doesn't overthrow his WR by 5 yards.

This is Iowa State football.

Its just awesome. We could end up with Colorado and Pittsburgh in the BCS, yipee. Not that I give CU much of a chance against OU.

Great first drive by ND, taking it right to USC.

:headbang

LETS GO ND!

ND

Put Auburn in the title game.

Eh, USC gonna start to take control.

i normally won't root for the irish, but i'd love a good BCS mess.

That depends on whether Bobby Purify is still around.

Yep, ND still sucks.

Why is Pitt gonna get a BCS game over Syracuse?

Syracuse beat them head to head.

who knew football could be so confusing?

I have no idea.

All this stuff is so beyond f***ed up, I'm just not gonna try anymore.

Pitt

BC

WV

Cuse

All have the same record. Why does Pitt go to the BCS game...

Contract the Big East, and any independent associated with them.

/problem solved.

From the Big East's website:

FOUR-WAY TIE

A. "mini-conference" is created amongst the four teams.

1. In the mini-conference, Team A is 3-0, Team B is 2-1, Team C is 1-2, and Team D is 0-3. Team A earns bid, regardless of ranking.

2. In the mini-conference, Teams A and B are 2-1, Teams C and D are 1-2. The higher ranked team of the 2-1 teams earns the bid. If two teams tie for the highest ranking, the bid goes to the team that won the head-to-head match-up.

So Pitt is 2-1, WV is 1-2, BC is 1-2 and Cuse is 2-1... Pitt is ranked higher in both polls, they get the BCS bid.

EDIT: The only thing that could change this would be Pitt losing to USF next weekend and then dropping below Syracuse.

Also they said Pitt can't really drop below Cuse because they both get similar ranks from the computers BUT...Pitt's coach has a vote in the top 25 and Cuse's doesn't.

God this conference champ thing is bull...teams more deserving of BCS than Pitt that will be likely out...

-Texas

-Louisville

-LSU

-Georgia

-Iowa

-Boise State

-Tennessee

Spsssh....Illiana could beat them all.

I just hope there's a playoff system SOON; I know ABC didn't extend their BCS contract. Hopefully that's a start...

:notworthy

Easily...

Here's the perfect system...

Take the AP and Coaches rankings at the end of the season...average them.

Take the top 16 teams and create a tournament.

Problem solved.

And FOX stepped right in to pick up the pieces... In the 2006 season (2007 bowls) there will be 5 BCS bowls.

In the 2006 season (2007 bowls) there will be 5 BCS bowls.

GREAT! Maybe we can include the MAC and Sunbelt champs as automatic bids.
