September 2, 200421 yr I was on the Charlotte Knights site and it stated that Courtney Duncan has 2.30 ERA down there. Since the roster is expanding is there any chance he can be brought up just to see what he can do? I know he sucked in the past and granted it is AAA, but hey the season is done so lets get him up and see if there is any fuel left in that old tank.

As much as I'd like to see Baj up, it seems that the organization is going to wait until the AFL for him to see guys with loads of talent, aside from those who he's already seen. I do expect him to compete for a BP job next year in ST though.

They have to add someone with Diaz and Grilli starting all of these games and they are at a net loss of one bullpen arm (minus Cliff and Jackson, plus Munoz) they are going to need guys to suck up these innings. Who else is going to do it? We can't keep having Damaso and Shingo go more innings.

Cotts has actually been more effective against righties than lefties. Neither have been used all that much, and it looks like they're being used more in August. Both pitched over 15 Innings in August, season highs for both in a month.

Any work these two get is good work at this point. Let them mature into the pitcher's they will become.

They haven't been worked that hard this year. But I still think we need at least one more arm in that pen with all of the extra innings the pen will be throwing during this last month of the season.

September 3, 200421 yr If we just need someone to call up and eat some innings...what about Eduardo Villacis? I know that we claimed him off waivers from KC earlier this year, and that he really is not a big time prospect...but it could not cost the team an option, and he'd just be an extra arm if we needed it.

September 3, 200421 yr Emergency appendectomy. Damn I have been missing alot lately. I hope he is okay. One of my co-workers went through that about 2 weeks ago (he was out for a week).
