September 6, 200421 yr Lee hit a 2 run homer in the 1st I believe, and Santana was unbelievable after that. Yep; that was his only mistake.
September 6, 200421 yr Lee hit a 2 run homer in the 1st I believe, and Santana was unbelievable after that. Yup, it was a he walked two and gave up only three hits.
September 6, 200421 yr His first start against us he gave up 7 earned runs in 3 innings. Nest start he gave up 2 runs in 8 innings. His last start he went six and only gave up 1 run. So they basically only got to him once this year. I thought we had him twice before his run, guess not -- still any game vs. Santana is almost an automatic loss.
September 6, 200421 yr Better hope that this dude puts down the bong and shuts down Minnesota tomorrow. His 8.39 ERA isn't that encouraging.
September 6, 200421 yr Better hope that this dude puts down the bong and shuts down Minnesota tomorrow. His 8.39 ERA isn't that encouraging. Bedard is pitching for them tomorrow. That does not look like him.

September 7, 200421 yr thats gonna suck when they have to refund them all when our sox rall back. The 2004 White Sox falling ass-backwards into the playoffs would be great.

September 7, 200421 yr The Sox just have to keep playing like they have nothing to lose--because they don't. If they have fun and play the game, they could make a race of it. The pressure is on the Twins. Nobody expects the Sox to even come close.
September 7, 200421 yr Bedard is pitching for them tomorrow. That does not look like him. According to MLB.com it's Riley going for the Orioles.

The pressure is on the Twins. Nobody expects the Sox to even come close. That's the smartest assessment of the Sox current state I've heard yet. They should at least finish strong and not fade out like a bunch of b****es.
September 7, 200421 yr The Twinkies hav lost the last 2 days with their worst 2 starters on the mound in Lohse and Mulholland. With Santana and Radke on the hill 10 more times this month, it's all over. Radke is a damn good pitcher, but he isn't Johan Santana dominant. I'll leave it at that, I don't think this team will come back. Like I said in the game thread - the eternal optimist inside me will hope that the Twinkies have a mammoth collapse and that the Sox have a magical run into the playoffs, but my brain knows different. That's why it's called hope...

September 7, 200421 yr If the Sox sweep this roadtrip I will change my name to JasonGageIsGod and turn my profile into the Gage lovefest. I'll hold you to that...

September 7, 200421 yr According to espn, yahoo, and sportsline it is bedard so who knows. Living in DC, I can tell you that it's Riley going for the Birds. Bedard isn't healthy right now.

September 7, 200421 yr hmmmmmmmmm im probally alone on this but this is something i think we could pull off. It could still happen. Never give up till the last pitch of the season.
September 7, 200421 yr this is probably our first four game winning streak since when ... early June? Twins aren't invincible, but it's tough to see us going 8 -2 or 9-1 on this trip.
September 7, 200421 yr If the Sox sweep this roadtrip I will change my name to JasonGageIsGod and turn my profile into the Gage lovefest. For that reason alone I hope they do it.
