September 6, 200421 yr I've been talking with him.....he didn't even notice that his name was spelled wrong until afterwards.... :rolly
September 6, 200421 yr Author I mean, he was probably really focused and all that, but you think when someone gets to the big leagues for the first time they'd look at the back of the uniform once......
September 7, 200421 yr I sent him a PM and he said thank you to me for congratulating him on making it to the big leagues. it was pretty cool
September 7, 200421 yr Baj is truly a great guy. He is I want to get out to the Cell and go see him pitch. i think he didn't look to bad against the Mariners. (Mabey he can be the closer of the future)
September 7, 200421 yr It may not have looked too bad on TV, but being there, it pretty much sucked. I hope he can/will do better.
September 7, 200421 yr It may not have looked too bad on TV, but being there, it pretty much sucked. I hope he can/will do better. what sucked about an infield hit, a ball chopped into the ground that went over the 1B head and a simple single to right??
September 7, 200421 yr what sucked about an infield hit, a ball chopped into the ground that went over the 1B head and a simple single to right?? I liked what I saw -- 12 pitches wasn't enough though -- It seemed like they jumped on him early after he got Jacobsen behind in the count with a couple FB's... He was pounding the zone, and maybe catching a little bit too much of the plate -- I'm sure he'll be fine in the future.
September 7, 200421 yr I'm not worried about Baj he is going to do fine. Just needs a little more experience
September 7, 200421 yr Baj threw too many strikes if that makes sense. He had a guy 0-2, threw away a pitch, and then gave up a 1-2 base hit. You just can't do that. I'm thinking maybe the catcher (I think it was Davis) didn't know his stuff too well.
September 7, 200421 yr Author I'd guess. Maybe he should try throwing the slutter tailing out of the zone more in those situations.....
September 7, 200421 yr I'm not worried about Baj he is going to do fine. Just needs a little more experience At least he threw strikes. I am sure it was just nerves because of his debut. I was hoping to see him tonight versus Texas on WGN, but no such luck.
September 7, 200421 yr Baj looked fine to me. threw strikes. infield hit wasn't a bullet. Slap hit was typical Ichiro. And then a single. Props to Baj. He'll help us next year.
September 7, 200421 yr I was lucky to get seats behind the plate for that game (Thatnk to my booze distributor buddy!), and the pitches just looked to 'easy'. Not easy for me, I couldn't hit little league pitching. But from where I was sitting, he looked very hittable. Don't freak, I didn't say he sucked or anything, just that from being there, it didn't look all that good to me.
September 7, 200421 yr Ya, Baj is one class act He mentioned to me that next time he'll throw more offspeed pitches. Go get em Baj, were all cheering for you to come through
September 7, 200421 yr any votes for just putting 'baj' on the back of his uniform? It will also make things easier for those of us who enjoy scoring the games.
September 7, 200421 yr I think it be awesome for some of the soxtalk posters to start the Baj's Boyz club much akin to "Crede's Crew"
September 7, 200421 yr I think it be awesome for some of the soxtalk posters to start the Baj's Boyz club much akin to "Crede's Crew" Sounds too much like a Cubs fan club I am going to the game on Friday and sitting right behind the pen though... Anyone got any ideas for a sign with both Soxtalk and Baj?

September 7, 200421 yr I talked to him for just a second on Friday. Thanks Jeff. Very nice of you to take the time. Just curious... what did you say to Neal that he kept looking over at me...?
