September 17, 200421 yr I say buh-bye Paulie. Not to discredit his contributions and the fact he's having a very nice year, I think he'd obviously bring more in a trade (hopefully). Although I like Paulie Walnuts...I just can't see that spark in him. Am I missing something here? Personally...thinking about the type of players I'd like to see here next year...guys like Craig Counsell...not spectalure...yet very solid.

September 17, 200421 yr I also agree that if its one or the other it would have to be Paulie. 1B is easier to find a player for than LF is in my book. Plus Paulie has lots of power but has no speed what so ever. Total base clogger and thats what the Sox are saying they want to get rid of.

He drives me batty, but Lee does it more. He likes to swing for the fences WAY too much on first pitches. So does Paul, but not as much, or so it seems.

September 17, 200421 yr I'd get rid of both of them. This team needs a major overhaul, MAJOR. Both of them will come off of great seasons, so there value will be high. I'm sick of the head cases on the team, Paulie and Caballo included. MAJOR overhaul...MAJOR.
September 17, 200421 yr Carlos showed that he is capable of being smart during his hitting streak. He still has mental lapses but his defense puts him a notch above Paulie in my opinion. He also can go first to third on a single more than once a season.
