September 22, 200421 yr Serious consideration has to go to JosE6 Valentin(e). His "clubhouse leadership" kept his declining batting average around here way too long.
September 22, 200421 yr Serious consideration has to go to JosE6 Valentin(e). His "clubhouse leadership" kept his declining batting average around here way too long. Batting average is overrated... I'll take Valentin's .220 BA anyday vs. Timo Perez's .250 I think everyone knows my answer..
September 22, 200421 yr Author since about 1980, when i really started paying attention, I bet we have had the fewest all-stars of any non-expansion team. i'm having a tough time coming up with a good answer here...?? maybe bill melton? guy had only 2 good years.
September 22, 200421 yr since about 1980, when i really started paying attention, I bet we have had the fewest all-stars of any non-expansion team. You're forgetting that every team always has one player named to the team...
September 22, 200421 yr By far even though we still thought he sucked balls, even that depth could not keep Jaime "fatass" Navarro from being the WORST.
September 22, 200421 yr Bo Jackson Not his fault, but his hype was way bigger than his heroics. IMHO overrated is usually someone with great PR skills who creates a bigger than life image, stars in a bunch of commercials, but doesn't have stats to back it up. Anna K comes to mind. Sorry BeGood
September 22, 200421 yr Tex, I agree with your definition, but Navarro sucked beyond even the sucky expecations.
September 22, 200421 yr Tex, I agree with your definition, but Navarro sucked beyond even the sucky expecations. What I was leaning towards with Bo, and I really liked the guy, is whenever he came out you expected Babe Ruth, Superman, and Zeus all in one. Then he'd hit a weak liner.
September 22, 200421 yr Author it's not who the suckiest guy ever was (navarro) but rather who was generally regarded by the masses as being good, but really wasn't.
September 22, 200421 yr it's not who the suckiest guy ever was (navarro) but rather who was generally regarded by the masses as being good, but really wasn't. I know ... I just had to mention Jamie "fatass" Navarro here. Couldn't be helped.
September 22, 200421 yr Author there's no arguing that navarro was the worst white sox ever. in fact, he could be the worst ever on any team. but that's a debate for another thread...
