Sample conversation from last week: Cub Cult Guy: "I want the Red Sox to win the World Series since the Cubs aren't in it." Me: "I want the Cardinals. They do things the right way - they trade for good players and keep them there." Cub Cult Guy: (angry) "Well, why don't you move to St. Louis, then??" Me: "I said I like the Cardinals, not St. Louis! St. Louis is a HOLE!"

October 11, 200421 yr I'm happy for the entire Cardinal fan base; They are some of the most well-educated (in terms of baseball) and informed fans in all of baseball. I've always liked that team. Go Cards! Go LaRussa!

I think they are a classy team, franchise and I respect the majority of their fans and their coaching staff!!

October 11, 200421 yr The Cardinals will make it to the World Series. Their lineup is scary as hell and the pitching is very good. These guys have what it takes to win it all. BTW, is Carpenter injured? I didn't see him pitch at all in the series or are they just saving him for round 2?
