November 20, 200421 yr Pacers get the win. Detroit f***ing sucks. Oh, okay. My mom was watching the news and they showed a preview of the fight and said the game was postponed.
November 20, 200421 yr It's self-defense if a guy pulls a gun on you or tries to stab you with a knife. But pouring a beer on you or throwing a bottle? No. Punching a guy for pouring a beer on you is overkill. What if the guy really DID have a knife on him when Artest went into the stands? Should Artest have still charged the stands in self-defense. Obviously not. um... if a guy pulls a gun on you im pretty sure you wont be running after him trying to fight him with your fists.. Pouring beer on someone and throwing a bottle at them is pretty much as low as you can f***ing get.. They got what they deserved..
November 20, 200421 yr So the game was postponed because of this??? Wow. They called it i believe, there is no way the pistons would have been able to come back with such little time.
November 20, 200421 yr Author Did they get the win because of the score at the time the game was called, or because of Detroit fan interfernece? 97-82 Pacers.

November 20, 200421 yr score at the time I figured as much. WAIT! Brainstorm! Next time the Bulls get a 2-0 lead, have Curry charge the stands and punch some guy in the nuts. Get the rest of the team to join in and the game will get called. We win!!

November 20, 200421 yr Fans have to f***ing use their heads. If you throw s*** at a player, what the f*** do you think is gonna happen you piece of trash?
November 20, 200421 yr Fans have to f***ing use their heads. If you throw s*** at a player, what the f*** do you think is gonna happen you piece of trash? haha dont forget the beer was dumped on him first, then thrown.. f***ing unbelievable
November 20, 200421 yr Fans have to f***ing use their heads. If you throw s*** at a player, what the f*** do you think is gonna happen you piece of trash? If had this planed and it just wanst a spur of the moment thing, he most likely got exactly what he expected. he did it to set him off.
November 20, 200421 yr I'm sorry, Artest overreacted. While the fight was going on, ESPN announcers were acting as if the fan threw a glass bottle from two feet away. Replays showed a PLASTIC CUP of beer landing on Artest from a distance of atleast 10 feet. In no way was his life threatened. Quit that "self defense" angle right now because jumping into the stands is not justifiable. The drunk fan deserves to be arrested, no doubt, but I'm changing my stance on this situation.
November 20, 200421 yr Interesting note, I just saw on channel 7 that as the players were leaving the court fans were throing beer, soda, popcorn, ect onto them.
November 20, 200421 yr I'm sorry, Artest overreacted. Anyone see replays recently broadcasted on ESPN? While the fight was going on ESPN announcers were acting as if the fan threw a glass bottle from two feet away. Replays showed a PLASTIC CUP of beer landing on Artest from a distance of atleast 10 feet. In no way was his life threatened. Quit that "self defense" angle right now because jumping into the stands is not justifiable. Yeah I agree. I just saw the same thing during the Kings game and the announcers blew it way out of proportion.
November 20, 200421 yr he did it to set him off. Exactly, and what do you think is gonna happen when you set off an NBA player in the heat of a game after just getting shoved.
November 20, 200421 yr Yeah I agree. I just saw the same thing during the Kings game and the announcers blew it way out of proportion. Like I said earlier and was so rudely shouted down, this should NOT have happened. Artest WAY over reachted. It wasnt self defense. Artest just snapped like he normally does.
November 20, 200421 yr For those of you who have Comcast Sportsnet, turn it on. Very shortly they are going to show the whole thing from beginning to end. Judge for yourself.
November 20, 200421 yr Also, did Artest really get that many punches in? It didn't really seem like it, he was getting mobbed.
November 20, 200421 yr I figured as much. WAIT! Brainstorm! Next time the Bulls get a 2-0 lead, have Curry charge the stands and punch some guy in the nuts. Get the rest of the team to join in and the game will get called. We win!! Didn't the Bulls blow a huge lead and lose at home recently? I say let em get up by like 5-10, if thats even possible, then start the brawl. But on the flip side of that the refs would probably award the win to the other team because the Bulls suck that badly and would probably blow it anyway.
November 20, 200421 yr Holy hell JO got a huge punch in on some Piston fan that was on the court. HOLY s***!
November 20, 200421 yr But on the flip side of that the refs would probably award the win to the other team because the Bulls suck that badly and would probably blow it anyway.
November 20, 200421 yr God, don't even try and rip Artest. He can't escape all criticism in this incident. The fan who started this brawl in the stands posed no immediate danger to Artest. A responsible player might have simply pointed the fan out to security, instead of going crazy.
