January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Per George Offman. WooT!!! EDIT: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...r_cws&fext=.jsp
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) s***, I've already drastically limited my whining following Jermaine Dye's signing. Even Cubkilla himself must applaud Williams commitment. He's stated that he's pretty satisfied with the way things were going this offseason. That's the equivalent of lightning striking 57 times in the same place let alone twice.
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) Somwhere poor Ben Davis is cursing, and little Jamie Burke is crying... They're both lucky to be playing baseball period.
January 6, 200521 yr We just signed AJ at a cheaper price per year than: Mike Matheny, Damien Miller, and Benjie Molina. We also paid less than double what the Cubs paid for Henry Blanco. LMAO!
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Wonder who the odd man out is, since the 40-man roster is full. I think it's either Burke or Davis. Flip a coin.

We also paid less than double what the Cubs paid for Henry Blanco. LMAO! LOL....Wonder what made AJ accept a deal like this...let alone a deal making him a whitesock
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) LOL....Wonder what made AJ accept a deal like this...let alone a deal making him a whitesock I was sure he was going to hold out for 3 mil. That's an excellent question.
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) I think it's either Burke or Davis. Flip a coin. Well then it will be Burke... We arent paying him a million bucks a year.
January 6, 200521 yr Good to hear we finally sign AJ, I was scared we will let him go to other teams. Good job KW
January 6, 200521 yr as I mentioned before there is something about this guy that nobody likes. its also why we only signed him for one year.
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) We just signed AJ at a cheaper price per year than: Mike Matheny, Damien Miller, and Benjie Molina. We also paid less than double what the Cubs paid for Henry Blanco. LMAO! Wow what a great deal.

We also paid less than double what the Cubs paid for Henry Blanco. LMAO! Great post! Turns out that Kenny Williams ain't so bad afterall. I have to think Burke stays. Why? I dunno. He may hang around as Buehrle's personal catcher, if the Sox brass don't like that idea, Davis gets the nod; either way, the starting catcher for the Chicago White Sox is AJ Pierzynski. Wow. I still can't believe we got him for that price. AJ is the type of guy that fans love to watch. He is going to be a lot of fun this season. How well is Kenny going to sleep tonight?
January 6, 200521 yr I was in the barber shop getting my hair cut when I heard this news. Note: The barber does look at you weirdly when you start saying "f*** yes!" for what he thinks is no reason. And also per the Score, there is a difference of about $600,000 during negotiations between the Sox and Iguchi. So we could possibly get him as well.
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Wonder who the odd man out is, since the 40-man roster is full. I have to believe you keep Davis. He's the better defensive catcher and he's a switch hitter.
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) Soooo, Steff...what was that about Ben being the starting catcher? YES YES YES! You are kidding me, right..? But in case you aren't.. I repeated what I was told. I don't work for the Sox and don't claim to know anything more than I am told. Apparently.. sharing that info - when it turs out to be incorrect - warrants a slap in the face. So be it. Not another peep of information will be posted from these fingers.
