Interesting, but I can't see it happening. With the pen the Sox already have, it would be kind of a waste of money. If they had that kind of cash, they could go after a Polanco or Iguchi at a position they could really use someone else, IMHO

Depending on his physical condition, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox have a lot of interest in Paul Shuey.

Some team will want Urbina, maybe the Marlins if they decide to hang onto Castillo and don't trade for Marte. Even though he's expensive for a setup man, Urbina will be effective for anyone.

I don't see the Sox picking up Urbina. Although I wouldn't mind it. But if they do it makes the bullpen even stronger! I guess they can move Hermanson and everyone else down one and bump Diaz or Adkins out. (That is if they go with a 7 man bullpen)

Imagine this:

Takatsu (Closer)

Marte (Lefty set-up man)

Urbina (Righty-set-up man)

Hermanson (middle)

Vizcaino (middle)

Politte (middle)

Cotts (long)

That would be IMO the strongest bullpen in baseball.

Well I think that Ugie is going to be upsetif he's not the closer. I think he has to wind up a Cub, no matter how sold they are on Ryan Dempster.

I read this article Tuesday that said nothing new had come about in the case for Urbina's mother. My heart goes out to that family.
