Most importantly of all, Fields has to work on his defense at 3B.

 

Fields is a good enough athlete, he'll adjust. His arm is good, though some complain that he's still throwing like a QB, but I'm not worried about his defense.

 

He's gotta get a grasp on the strike zone. Above all else, that's what we need from him if he's going to be our future 3rd-baseman. The power will come (if it hasn't already) -- he's gotta make some strides this year on his K and BB numbers.

Agreed. I have no doubt that Willie will be traded soon, most likely for a backup 3rd baseman (Mackowiak).
