April 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) I think the Mulder-buehrle games were in the same ballpark right? nah they were usually close to 2 hours everytime... this one was fast as hell.
April 16, 200520 yr Got back about 10 minutes from the game, and might I say that my last period class is longer than the time it took for this game to be completed!!! Buehrle threw a gem today. I think he's going to have an unreal rhythm all season long. He had control of the entire game, except for Ichiro, but he's great in shaking off minor "glitches," and shutting the rest down. Buehrle's gonna be a candidate for the Cy Young within the next couple of years...MARK it!
April 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) .... That's gotta be the fastest game in a long time in the majors. Yeah, that was an absolute pleasure to watch. In two different innings I left the TV after the Sox made out to do some quick work before watching Buerhle... and ended up missing his half inning. That's how fast he was. Masterful performance.
April 16, 200520 yr I've been to both of Mark's starts at the cell and I've basically been to one game time wise. He's incredible, what a pitcher.
April 16, 200520 yr I wish the game was a little longer, it was so nice at the park. Awesome game by Buehrle though.
April 16, 200520 yr That's like 20 min faster than any of those Mulder/Buehrle games. It felt like I just sat down and it was already the 7th inning.
April 16, 200520 yr The people that were sitting in front of us came in about the top of the 4th inning, they saw about 50 minutes of a game.
April 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) The people that were sitting in front of us came in about the top of the 4th inning, they saw about 50 minutes of a game. There were some (what appeared to be) Cub fans that took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in Comiskey that got to their seats in the 5th for about 10 seconds before they got up and moved 1 section over.
April 16, 200520 yr It was the same with the people behind me. (Where were you sitting? I was a row back from the idiot who grabed the ball in the 9th)
April 16, 200520 yr QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) It was the same with the people behind me. (Where were you sitting? I was a row back from the idiot who grabed the ball in the 9th) I was in section 119, so you were a bit further down then me.
April 16, 200520 yr I was in 102 today, row 5, what an awesome day at the park it was. I took alot of pics, i'll have them up later tonight.
April 16, 200520 yr Wow, what a game... I guess I got more than my money's worth with that teacher coupon.
April 16, 200520 yr I was in row 149 section 5 and noticed some Cubs colors at the park too. The guy a row over from me had a Prior jersey, and his kid wore a Wrigley Field hat and a Yankees Jersey. Then the poor dad in front of us was the only White Sox fan in the family. After Paulie's first HR his 8 year old son stood up and yelled "Sox Stink!" and he turned around and said "You are not my son. You are on your own." Had the surrounding people laughing histerically. Funny thing was, the kid was decked out in Cubs gear. I don't know how the dad can survive. We treated him well though.
April 16, 200520 yr Too quick of a game. Maybe everytime Buehrle pitches at home, that should count as half-price night too.
April 17, 200520 yr I managed to find two games from 2003. 04/30/03 Mulder Vs. Buerhle: Time: 1:54 05/06/03 Mulder Vs. Buerhle: Time: 1:49 Fast, but not as fast as today.
