Twins' new stadium

AND GET RID OF THE f***IN BOUNCY BALL s*** THEY PLAY ON

I really liked old met stadium they played in before the baggyball came to town. I grew up in Iowa and it was the closest pro ball we had. They tore down the old stadium and built that stupid mall of america. I hope the new one is half as good as the old one.

I'll beleive it when I see it, which is at least 4 years away. I'm not holding my breath

THey'll be contracted by then =)

It's about damn time....any one else get tired of playing 10 games in a plastic bag?

I could see the D'Rays and possibly either the Marlins, the Royals, or the A's being contracted in the next 10 years.

From the artist's sketch it looks like an open-air stadium, no roof.

I hope the Twins like spending every April on the road.

Maybe they can get that killer West Coast road trip to start their season off on the wrong foot?

That'd be nice.....

I would rather see an open air stadium. There weather is similar to Detroit and they seem to be managing. There will certainly be some cold April days.

Molding their area after wrigleyville huh?? Makes me hate them even more.

Nope, not quite true. The snow we just got is not usual for late April. That was just a nasty storm we got. I'd think Chicago and Milwaukee are closer to Detroit than Minneapolis/St. Paul.

No doubt, that is the worst f***ing stadium.

I'd vote for Tampa's stadium as the worst. I can't even watch the tv when the sox play there.

It's a great idea to have parking similar to Wrigleyville. Park in some alley and hope your car hasn't been used as a urinal for 3 hours. Great idea.

It isn't

If you click on the virtual tour videos, you'll see it's like the new stadium in Seattle with the retractable roof.

Oh, OK.

I was just going by that drawing on the front page.

I was starting to get nauseous just being on that site, so I couldn't go into it any further...

I hate retractable roofs.

Proposed Dimension from left to right:

328, 371, 402, 371, 331.

This could be a fun place to play.

the current proposal has no roof on the stadium and costing roughly 475 mil. Pohlad chipping in 125 mil

for 100 mil more, a roof goes on

the area of the proposed stadium is downtown Minneapolis right next to Target Center
