Overall I consider this entire series a win, with the exception of Viz. The team stuck with it and the rookie was awesome! The Cubs should feel fortunate they have a pitcher like Prior because he's the only thing that redeems that team. DLee gets honorable mention.

Agreed. No reason to get all hot and bothered about this game.

What a game. I'll stick take two out of 3. Sox lost this one on Uribe's failure with the runner on 3rd and what I'll call a mistake in relieving Bmac too early, imo. I thought Brandon was rolling and there was no way I was going to take him out. Ramirez had hit him good, but it wasn't like Bmac was hanging pitches and well frankly I have zero confidence in Viz right now (he's just hanging everything or so it seems, but at least the velocity on his fastball was better this outing).

 

Really though, can't complain, Sox were in this game and Bmac did a hell of a job. I was way more comfortable with him on the mound than Duque (remember I'm not much at all of a Duque fan so I'm bias and well frankly I think Bmac is a stud). I still don't know why Brandon wasn't throwing his changeup. I saw him throw one to Dlee who was just way out in front of it but that was it. His curve was looking really good though.

We faced their best 3 pitchers in my opinion, and they didn't face our best pitcher, and our best pitcher record wise. This is a good series win. Sure we all wanted the White Sox to sweep them, but we'll get another chance next month.
