May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) I'm certainly not going to read all 8 pages, but damn this sucks for the cubs. I hate to see anyone get hurt, especially when pitchers injure their pitching arms. Best of luck to him in his recovery. 8 pages? Looks like 16 to me.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) 8 pages? Looks like 16 to me. 16 pages, 224 posts, 44 for Jabroni alone.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) 8 pages? Looks like 16 to me. My settings are different, I view 30 posts on each page. Sorry about that. It's as long as most game threads. WTF, was it that bad of an injury?

WTF, was it that bad of an injury? No, just a slow Friday afternoon at work for too many of us. There's a lot of unrelated stuff in those 16 pages.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) 16 pages, 224 posts, 44 for Jabroni alone. 116 for the day and the game has not even started.
May 27, 200520 yr There's got to be a bone break/fracture there. The Cubs are probably just f***ing around about injuries again. Classless tools.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) 116 for the day and the game has not even started. Watch your back qwerty and southsider. Wow that's a s***load of posts.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) 116 for the day and the game has not even started. The guy averages like 150 posts a day, what do you expect.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) The guy averages like 150 posts a day, what do you expect. Wow, what's the record for most posts in a day? It could be in serious trouble.
May 27, 200520 yr 116 for the day and the game has not even started. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Qwerty, you average 31.4 posts per day and make up 1.72% of total forum posts. I have a ways to go to catch up with you.
May 27, 200520 yr At least Jabroni doesn't post a bunch of 1 or 2 words in every post. I see that on a lot of other message boards and that's all they post. I have a lot of short posts too, but I guess I pick and choose what I want to reply to.

I see that on a lot of other message boards and that's all they post. I have a lot of short posts too, but I guess I pick and choose what I want to reply to. I see that a lot on here. Just meaningless little posts from people that reiterate exactly what everyone else is saying. This does not apply to Jabroni or Qwerty.

This does not apply to Jabroni or Qwerty. Yeah, a lot of people on message boards think it's a competition to have the most posts in a day or whatever. Maybe some think they'll gain respect with the more posts they have, I don't know what it is. I think respect would come from what you say in your posts and not how many of them you have.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Another reason to call up Brian Anderson. Or let Jermaine Dye tear it up.
May 27, 200520 yr QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) I hope he's got Aflac. I love that duck
May 28, 200520 yr ESPN Bottomline just reported that the MRI showed a fracture. Didn't say where or how bad.
May 28, 200520 yr Mark Prior - S - CHC ESPN is reporting that an MRI found a slight fracture in Mark Prior's elbow. This will put the right-hander on the DL. For how long is anyone's guess at this point, but since he'll have to be shut down for at least a few weeks, it's unlikely he'll be back before the All-Star break. Jon Leicester could be called up to replace him in the rotation. May. 27 - 9:58 pm et
May 28, 200520 yr The ESPN story. As someone pointed out, it does help the Sox, but I can't say I'm very happy about it, given the way it happened. Is ptatc around? Does anyone know what this could mean -- minimum/maximum recovery time, something like that?
May 28, 200520 yr Rick Sutcliffe of ESPN said that he thinks Prior will miss the rest of the season if the injury is as bad as ESPN is reporting. Best-case scenario: only missing the rest of this season. Worst-case scenario: could be a career-threatening injury. Edited May 28, 200520 yr by Jabroni
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 28, 2005 -> 03:29 AM) Rick Sutcliffe of ESPN said... Do you think there's really anyone here who doesn't know who Rick Sutcliffe is?
May 28, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) Rick Sutcliffe of ESPN said that he thinks Prior will miss the rest of the season if the injury is as bad as ESPN is reporting. Best-case scenario: only missing the rest of this season. Worst-case scenario: could be a career-threatening injury. It's a broken elbow right? If thats the case, I can't see him coming back anytime soon.
