June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 05:20 PM) Baseball America is 16/16, amazing Make it 17.
June 7, 200520 yr Oh man, did I call the Broadway pick! I just had one of those feelings that he wasn't our "Plan D." Edited June 7, 200520 yr by dasox24
June 7, 200520 yr The thing is with having only 1 pick in the first two plus rounds, we HAVE to make sure they are signable. This was the smart move.
June 7, 200520 yr f***ing hell, I'd rather of had Hansen/Hochevar/Carillo. I hope to hell this works out. Broadway has pitched exceptionally well against some of the better teams in college baseball as of late. I just don't like drafting guys in the 1st round without a decent fastball. He has a hell of a curve though and seems to paint the zone which is a sign of a fast riser. I'm guessing it will be a very very quick sign (ie by the end of the week).

As always, Big Mike is the voice of reason. Great call big guy and something I completely neglected. Welcome aboard Lance!!! Let the debate begin.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) Cubs might jump on Hansen, I hope not If they do, you might see him at wrigley in sept. *shudder*
June 7, 200520 yr Rangers won't take a Boras guy so the Cubs are gonna nab Hochevar, imo. They could go with Hansen too. Man Boras is having a major effect on those two. I'm now thinking Tyler Greene will be there in the 3rd round after seeing whats happened with the rest of the guys. Carillo just went off the board, very good move by the Pads.
June 7, 200520 yr Boras is clearly what's wrong with baseball, he has changed the entire draft and the best teams still get the better talent. Pawelek for cubs
June 7, 200520 yr Cubs pass on Hochevar and take Pawlek. He was the top rated high school pitcher. Interesting on how much Boras' clients are sliding. You know the Yanks will snag them. Heck, the BoSox could get agressive in this draft and end up with two really good guys with there picks.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) Isn't he with Boras? Eh maybe he is...I know Bowden is. But I was referring to Hansen/Hochevar, just too lazy to type their names.

It must be written somewhere only Minnesota, Oakland, and Cubs draft pitchers with live arms. These players are always available for these organizations to swoop in and draft.
