Dan Wright won 14 games in his first year than was hurt so I dont think he is the worst sox pitcher

you cant hate loaiza that much though. he gave the sox a cy young calibur year and once he left, he was never that good. he sucked for the yanks, pitches for the nationals right now, hes doing so-so if memory serves me correctly.

Steroids make that part bigger.  Unless your talking about the twins, which get smaller.

Ahhh, well...I guess I can't argue much with that. But, I guess the atrophy doesn't always have to happen. There can be many excuses, such as alcohol, darkness, etc. But maybe we shouldn't get into this.

I know Navarro seemed like an ass and David Wells but I didnt watch the sox every game back than like I do now... i was only a casual fan

No way would I say Loaiza is hated. Not only did he give us an amazing season which we could have never expected, we also got Contreras out of the deal.

I think it's funny that a lot of the Red Sox hitters have seen their power numbers go down this year (in the season of steroid testing).  I was told by a MLB scout early last year that the Red Sox had a roster full of steroid abusers.  This was said well before steroids became a big issue in baseball.

Hate is a strong word, but I absolutely hated seeing the conglomeration that was last year's fifth starter.

Thriller, Anyone? He'd come in with runners on and it's pretty much a gurantee that they'd be scoring.

 

Also in no particular order: Koch, Ritchie, Danny Wright and Bobby Howry.

I totally forgot about paninagua (or however you spell it)

Game 2 of a 4 game set in the middle of sept. 2003. We were already up 1 game to 0, and were set to cruise to victory. This nobody comes in, almost blows the lead, i guess causes a riot in the clubhouse.

We go on to lose the final 2 games, splitting the series.

I honestly believe if we had won 1 of those games, we would have won that division race.

 

That was my first heartbreak with this team. Never forget it.

I'd have to say David Wells just for those comments he made about the Hurt.

I even hold it against Navarro that Schueler thought Navarro was worth the money that Clemens didnt get.

 

I cannot believe Schueler picked Navarro over Clemens.  I am still in disbelief over that.

 

 

I just loved how Schueler got up in front of everybody and explained that he picked Navarro because Clemens was "washed up".

I would just like to remind everyone just how truly horrible Ken Hill was.
