June 10, 200520 yr QUOTE(mac9001 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Since late '95, early '96, which would put be at about 8-9 years old. Same but that would put me at about 6 years old.
June 10, 200520 yr I have a picture of me at 3 years old taking a sip of beer from my Dads cup at 3 years old in 1977 at Comiskey, so pretty much since birth Edited June 10, 200520 yr by southsider2k5
June 10, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Since 1981 when I was 8 years old and my dad took me to old Comiskey for a game. Old man I would have to say my whole life, but I really started paying attention and caring around 97 or 98 (when I was 12 or 13).
June 10, 200520 yr I would like to say since birth, but my family erroneously tried to force feed me the Cubs. 11 years of not caring about sports came to a screeching halt when I went to a Sox/Indians game in 1990, when all the sudden it clicked and I liked baseball, especially the White Sox.

June 10, 200520 yr 25 yrs and 3 months, although I'm legally only 24 years 6 months. I was cheering them on in the womb. Edited June 10, 200520 yr by valponick
June 10, 200520 yr Since birth, my dad and his dad are long-time Sox fans, I was never given a choice in the matter.
June 10, 200520 yr When I was a baby, my uncle would watch Sox games with me and whisper in my ear "Cubs Suck, Cubs Suck". Then my mom made him change it to Cubs Stink, but I think i got his point. So i started to be a Sox fan when I was a baby.

June 10, 200520 yr since my first game which was the last game at old comiskey....so lets see that would make me about 4 years old....... Many a brawl with my older brother the scrubs fan ensued..... but seriously I was born with a pale hose on my willy.......
June 10, 200520 yr I'm another one born into it. There are pictures of me with my Dad at games from maybe '74 but I can't really recall going to games until '77 when I was 9-10. That was a good year to become White Sox-aware, and that being such a great season (until August at least) pretty much sealed the deal.
June 10, 200520 yr my whole life.. My Grandfather liked to do things differnt from his older brother who was a cub fan .. The rest is history....
June 10, 200520 yr Since early 80's...Thank Budda I had an uncle who was a sox fan.. most of my family are cubs fans.. On a side note, my little nephew who was born a month ago, I already streching his arm out to be the next great LHP for the Sox.. My sister and mom think I am nuts.
June 10, 200520 yr The first season i remember was '93 (i was 7 at the time). Then i really didn't become a MAJOR fan of the team till late '01. For whatever reason, i just got into them. I was still a very casual fan of the sox in the 90s, just didn't watch every game.
June 10, 200520 yr Its funny. I was thinking about this topic this morning. I can't remember any talk about the "other team" when I was growing up. Our whole family were Sox Fans and I dont' remember my dad or grandma (she has been a dir hard for 93 years) ever mentioning anyone but the Sox. So for me 37 years.. Since 1967
June 10, 200520 yr 1959. I remember watching TV during the World Series and seeing Ted Kluzewski homer, one of two he hit in game one and the Sox won 11-0. Nellie Fox was my hero and my first little league baseball glove was a Nellie Fox model.
June 10, 200520 yr Roughly 1990, give or take a year or two. Started watching baseball in 89, watched mainly Cubs games because that was what was on WGN, was watching Sox games instead a year later. Plus, we lived a lot closer to Comiskey, so that helped in seeing a bundle of games every year Given that I was 9 at the time, that pretty much means my whole life.
June 10, 200520 yr My dad was a die hard sox fan--when i came home from the hospital after birth, he already had me wearing a Sox shirt! But i started watching when i was 8 in 1988. Edited June 10, 200520 yr by smalls2598
June 10, 200520 yr i started playing baseball in 1991 the first week of the offical season i became a white sox fan after seeing a game on TV being from califiornia, its kinda odd for me to pick the sox, but how could i not havent been a fan since... i was 7 years old at the time
June 10, 200520 yr Since I was born. It's in my family's blood. Both of my parents are South Side Irish. I had no other choice
