June 20, 200520 yr http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws Significant improvement: As the White Sox mobbed Pierzynski around home plate Saturday night, Ross Gload stayed noticeably off to the side. Gload was not about to risk further injury to his left shoulder, even in a moment of a great jubilation. "I was just trying to referee the situation," said Gload, exhibiting his typical deadpan humor. The news has been gradually getting better for the left-handed first baseman since suffering a setback two weeks ago while playing first base for Triple-A Charlotte. White Sox athletic trainer Herm Schneider said that Gload will begin throwing once again on Monday. "Ross is moving along very nicely," said Schneider of Gload, who was placed on the disabled list on April 30 with left shoulder inflammation. "He has fulfilled his dose of medicine and worked hard on strengthening his shoulder. "It's time to take it to the throwing stage and that should move along quickly," Schneider added.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:14 AM) When he comes back, buh-bye OMIT!! Hopefully it's OMIT thats going bye bye, but ya never know with the Oz.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) Hopefully it's OMIT thats going bye bye, but ya never know with the Oz. True, The original plan was to send Willie to AAA because he has an option left.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 06:48 AM) True, The original plan was to send Willie to AAA because he has an option left. Which would be insane to do. Timo sucks alot more, get rid of him.
June 20, 200520 yr With the performance that Willie has been turning in lately, I think its Timo's time to go. Willie has shown some key baserunning prowess, finally, and actually has some clutch hits and a GREAT bunt. Willie needs to stay up and improve, while Timo can get the hell out.
June 20, 200520 yr Hard to knock Harris' performance this year. In general, he's doing what's being asked. I must say I loved his enthusiasm last nite after he got the sac bunt down.
June 20, 200520 yr Timo is going bye-bye because Thomas & Everett are staying. Timo is not a good PR option for Oz so Harris & Ozuna have much greater value over him now. Thomas as a PH must be replaced by a good PR. Timo is not an option there.
June 20, 200520 yr Willie Harris proved on Saturday night why he needs to stay on this team instead of This Idiot Makes Outs...he did his best Dave Roberts impression. He came in to pinch run in the 9th, immediately took 2nd off Brazoban, and then scored the tying run on a single by ArRow. Ignore the fact that we have a backup outfielder already in Everett, and a 2nd backup in Ozuna, and hell even a third and fourth backup in Uribe and Harris, and just Harris's speed is reason enough to keep him around.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) I can't see how Timo could have a continued role on this club. Pictures. UGLY pictures. 'Nuf said.
June 20, 200520 yr Willie had two great nights. Saturday night and last night. Stole a huge base on Saturday and had a nice sacrifice bunt on Sunday. He's shown significant improvement over last year in both deparments. That being said, he's probably the odd man out. No purpose Perez stays.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Willie had two great nights. Saturday night and last night. Stole a huge base on Saturday and had a nice sacrifice bunt on Sunday. He's shown significant improvement over last year in both deparments. That being said, he's probably the odd man out. No purpose Perez stays. He also had a pretty nice hit last night. Should have been ruled a 2b but was ruled a 1b and a n error.
June 20, 200520 yr If Willie gets sent down for Ross that is completely absurd. We need Ross as a defensive replacement, bat off the bench, and for the flexability to PR for PK. But there is no reason to send down Willie before Timo - none.

We need Ross as a defensive replacement, bat off the bench, and for the flexability to PR for PK. But there is no reason to send down Willie before Timo - none. The amazing thing is, there's hardly a person here who doesn't believe that. And I think a majority of people here think that Timo will be the one who stays.
June 20, 200520 yr QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) The amazing thing is, there's hardly a person here who doesn't believe that. And I think a majority of people here think that Timo will be the one who stays. Willie deserves to stay with the sox when ross comes back. Timo should leave, but it sounds like that's not going to happen.
July 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) Has anybody heard anything about Ross recently? He's tearing the cover off the ball for Charlotte, he's ready to come back, it's just a matter of Kenny and Ozzie making their minds up on who they want to send down.
