Is that sarcasm? Their starting pitching has been incredible lately, and they're an amazing 2nd half team. Don't forget, we play them a lot in this 2nd half.

I just got home from work, but by following the game online and on the radio, why did Ozzie leave Buehrle in so long?  He seemed to be struggling against the top of the Red Sox order, and was lucky that he hadn't given up more runs against the Red Sox.  I know Ozzie loves to leave his starters in for as long as possible, but sometimes, it's better to not let extremely good MLB hitters see a pitcher for the 4th time in that game.

 

The decision to leave him in was fine. Buehrle didn't have much defense behind him tonight. Iguchi made two errors (three if you count the ball he couldn't quite get out of his mit on Damon), and Rowand dropped a ball in center (not counted as an error, but should've been). I thought Buehrle pitched damn well against a real good lineup.

Yeah, but the throw short hopped.

It sucks big time because if some guys can get it clicking our offense could challenge any offense but when the whole lineup is in a funk we are the worse.

Good throw, and in my vision, he's out. Close play, but a good, accurate throw, and he's out. Even if he doesn't make a quick throw, the runners don't advance. But because the throw was a one-hop, both runners advanced.

If somebody with Uribe's arm was throwing it. A decent or even solid arm wouldn't have gotten him. At least thats what i saw on TIVO.

Wow, I was way off. Konerko made a huge play, Vizcaino came through, and that play didn't cost us.
