Do we have a problem here?

He also hits over .290 and plays awesome defense.

6th among CF in average.

8th mong CF in OBP.

4th among CF in SB.

And homered in the 1st two games of this series.

Rowand's fine. You know who really sucks?

Rowand's splits

Scroll down and look at Rowand's #'s with runners on and in scoring position, as well as how he hits in certain counts. He kills when he is ahead of the count.

Isn't that when most hitters succeed though?

I'd guess. Wish I could send these to him so he can take some pitches and work a count.

Why don't we just say everyone sucks because there has been a thread about every damn player.... gdsfdsfsdfsdfs

He needs to learn how to draw a walk.

The only way you are gonna get Rowand to draw a walk is if you give him a pencil and paper.

Rowand is currently posting a line .289/.342/.410. Find me a better defensive centerfielder who's posting a better line in the AL. Key being -- better defensive player. I see Torii Hunter posting a better line (.040 more SLG points, but about .010 less in OBP). Johnny Damon is, too, but I think Damon has lost a lot defensively. Anyone else?

It pisses the hell out of me when people look at the better players on the team and use them as scapegoats, rather than looking at the guys who are actually sucking.

Yes

Yes

Yep, I agree with you there as well.

There are 2 players in the AL that would be on my team before anybody else:

Aaron Rowand

Darrin Erstad

Are you high? No Manny Ramirez? No Ortiz? No Buehrle? No Vlad?

:chair Erstad is easily one of the most overrated players in baseball for the last few years. I'll gladly take Vlad and Tejada if you're going to take those two guys first.

THE Darrin Erstad? That of the sub .390 SLG% family?

Give me:

Roy Halladay

Miguel Tejada

Vlad Guerrero

Mark Buehrle

Travis Hafner

Manny Ramirez

Johan Santana

+ about 50 or so more players before I scratch Rowand. Erstad isn't even on my radar.

But he's got 'heart', is a 'proven winner', and would run through a wall for the team. INTANGIBLES, MAN!

Intangibles is just another word for White Guy.

You know who has the intangibles Stubby Clap and Luke Ridnour.

:lolhitting Nice line

I love how Erstad is living off his name for having one great year in his whole career. He is more mediocre than just about anyone on our team.
