:lolhitting

In the pregame show, Don Cooper alluded to the fact that your boy Broadway might get a call up this September. He must be something. :cheers

Agree.. but it still would have been nice for Jon to get #17.

I know. :gosox3:

You're not the only one.

I didn't see today's, but I've seen a few others that just completely fall off the table.

Maybe the umps did us a favor. If that had made the correct call, the guy could have parked the next pitch over the plastic for a 2-1 win. You never know. Glad you guys kept the updates coming. Gameday crapped out in the top of the tenth. This is a great day. :snr

:headbang I know, i heard that too. :D

all we needed to do was put Jenks in the 9th and we wouldnt have had to go through this s***.

Should of swept them!

LMAO.. I just got the most hysterical PM about someone being "mad" at me..

Colorado, it definitely worked out. And what a confidence builder for Jenks!! :cheers

Was Scott Merkin watching the same game as you guys: Michael Ryan's two-out line drive, which barely stayed fair, tipped off Paul Konerko's glove at first base and scored Rodriguez from first with the game-tying run. First-base umpire Marty Foster made the ruling on the line drive, and replays appeared to show he made the right call.

Now it's time to rip Seattle a new one...

Yeah, shoulda been Jenks in the ninth.

Go Rays!!!!!!!!!

Who knows what he was watching., Ball was clearly foul, in front of the bag, and hit the glove in foul territory. JonnyG should have his 17th win, but alas, gave Jenks a chance to blow some twinkies away.

I don't get it. Crede got hurt trying to bunt? But he didn't get hit by the pitch?? :huh

theres no reason it shouldnt have been. Hermy needs more rest, needs a pre-october DL stint and Jenks needs to close more games.

He offered (bunted) at the pitch, which is the same as swinging at the pitch. After you swing at a pitch, it doesn't matter if it hits you or not, its a strike. It was the right call.

It'd be nice to sweep them, but I'll be ok with 2.

To keep myself from being suspended, I shall pass on this obvious joke.

I understand that rule, but Scott Merkin said Crede got HURT. Is that correct?:

Ozuna was in the game only because Joe Crede was hurt two pitches earlier while trying to lay down a bunt. Timo Perez followed with a single to left, driving in the game-winning run.

His fingers got squashed. He'll be fine.
