I know they play by the rules, but no team should be allowed to take a flyer on every veteran player that becomes available. Baseball is just crying out for some form of salary cap. My problem has nothing to do with the player they picked up, just the fact that seemingly every player released by another franchise gets a two week tryout with the Yankees. Actually it'll be just the Yankees being the Yankees, they're built for the playoffs. As much as I don't want to see them get in, they're on a role right now and it's hard to argue against them.
