What was wrong with Podsednik batting in that situation? 

 

He's not very good at hitting with the bases loaded.

The only thing I could think of is if you put Anderson in Nathan comes in to pitch. That is probably a K. At least Pods avoided the DP.Borchard as a switch hitter may have been an option.

They brought in Romero to face Pods. They couldn't have changed pitchers again.
