Then they fired Eddy Murray their hitting coach.

 

The rest I guess is history...

If this inconsistent mix of terrible offense, lackluster pitching, and pathetic managing continues, there's NO CHANCE this team makes the postseason.

Fair or not (because it is largely a talent problem) the hitting coach is responsible for the approach and success of an offense. In which case, Walker should either be gone by now or not be brought back next year.
