I really hope tomorrow's line-up is something like this:

Ozuna (3b)

Perez (LF)

Gload (1b)

Anderson (CF)

Borchard (RF)

Widger ©

Blum (SS)

Cassanova (DH)

Harris (2b)

no offense to Cle, but I really think that lineup could win. There is a TON of speed in there, some OBP and contact hitters, and some decent power in the middle.

The Sox need one victory to win the Central Division title outright, and manager Ozzie Guillen always intended to treat the final series as important. The Indians are expected to be in the wild-card chase until the final game. ''There are a lot of guys competing,'' Guillen said. ''New York is competing, Boston is competing. I have respect for [Yankees manager] Joe Torre and [Red Sox manager Terry] Francona. I have to respect the game, and I'm going to put the best guy I think for that particular day.'' If the wild card is decided before Sunday, however, Guillen likely would let players such as Joe Borchard, Brian Anderson, Ross Gload and Raul Casanova start in the season finale.

That's what I see happening. Or maybe pull some guys after 5 innings. I don't agree with benching Everett when he's starting to heat up, too.

I'd like to see Borch start and get some action. He's been doing nicely.

I gave up Borchard for dead after Spring Training, and followed him casually throughout the summer and noticed that he was still hitting in the .200-.220 range through July, with less power than he normally had, so I figured he had proved me right. When he came up the other day with the bases loaded, and had that great at-bat late in the game after not playing for quite some time, I was really happy. When his minor league BA flashed across the screen and showed that he finished with a .263 BA, I was extremely impressed. To go from the .200-.220 range in late July to .260 at the end of august is no small feat. He doesnt seem like he is swinging from his heels as much anymore, and i really dont mind having him pinch hit if he continues to take the same approach.

:cheers Joe, you earned my respect. As if that matters, lol

I also like to see Pauly get 1 more RBI to get to the 100 plateau.

LMAO, here's the lineup tonight:

1. Pods

2. Anderson

3. Gload

4. Borch

5. Crede

6. Timo

7. Widger

8. Blum

9. Harris

I'd love it if these guys beat the Indians, pull Buehrle after 75 pitches in 6 innings, then Atkins and Marte set up Baj for the save.

hope Borchard has a big game.

and Brian Anderson, too.

And blum?

He's due.

yes.

all three games are sold out in cleveland - would love to silence them early.

Man, after yesterday, sitting here in an about-to-start game thread...it's like a weight has come off my shoulders.

I still love how our #4 hitter is hitting .800.

I agree

Let's go Podsie!

Leadoff single for Podsie.

Pods....get your ass on 2nd.

59!

Pods retakes the league lead in stolen bases! 59!

Pods, take 3rd.

Just got home...an impressive lineup Ozzie's throwing out tonight. Rivals the '27 Yankees for sure. Where's Mike Caruso?

Sucks to be the Red Sox if that's how it's going to go the entire series...
