This game would be over if somebody outside of Brown could make a shot. Augustine is playin like Luc Longley.

apparently ron zook's mother still dresses him.

Auggy continues his brilliant play.

6 or 7 turnovers for Auggy....f***er

Auggy almost has a triple double.

I guess Maurice Ager is taking the night off.

Illinois wins on saturday... which they should... they will be moving up two more spots. I will take it.

Dee Brown and the defense is the story of this night.

HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WIN

Just awesome way to start the B10 season against a top 10 team.

This defense is f***ing nasty.

And you really can't say anything about Dee that hasn't been said....awesome.

ding ding ding

we won and the team played great defense.... but man I hope they work on that offense for next game... if Dee didnt come up big tonight we would of been helpless on offense.

it seems obvious to say illinois needs to find other scoring options. and they do. that said, if they continue to defend that way they will be a force deep into march.

Illinois kicked Michigan St ass!!! :headbang :headbang

Brian Randle is going to make a lot of good guards/ wings take nights off this year. Huge f***in win for the Illini. The defense was incredible, I think I could count the MSU open looks on one hand.

Some other thoughts, you can tell the defensive difference when Warren Carter and Jamar Smith are in the game. They just physically are not there yet which is unfortunate considering that they are two of the more skilled offensive players on the team. Chester Frazier, on the other hand, played a hell of a defensive game tonight. When he's in the game, Dee isn't the only primary ball handler and in close games in the big 10, he will be getting a lot of Jamar's minutes.

And Augustine, even though he played like a giant pussy on the offensive end, was very active defensively, especially when he traps off of a ball screen. If he could ever show up on the offensive end, this team could be very very good this year. Finally, MSU is still a hell of a team and will be right there at the end of the year.

Heh.

Illinois winning by 10, at home, wasn't exactly kicking anyone's ass. It was a good game.
