October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) I can't believe all of these players stepping up at different times and being the heroes. I NEED A PICTURE OF BLUM WITH HIS HAIR ALL f***ED UP AFTER THE HOMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was just a weird hair moment from his helmet...but it's not!! He's wearing it like that now! The dude's a freak, I love it! He had jet black hair with white stripes when he was traded to Houston from Montreal.
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) Caple's article with the bench players... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2005...yson&id=2202776 Did you see Willie and Widger holding up four fingers after he hit that dinger?? AWESOME!!
October 26, 200520 yr and too think i hated the Geoff Blum trade <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who would have thought that trading for Geoff freaking Blum would end up being more important than trading for Griffey?
October 26, 200520 yr Bagwell was definitely a class act in his little interview when talking about blum... anyone else see it on sportscenter?
October 26, 200520 yr Bagwell was definitely a class act in his little interview when talking about blum... anyone else see it on sportscenter? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blum played with Bagwell on the Astros, right? I think I heard that they were good buddies.
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:12 AM) Blum played with Bagwell on the Astros, right? I think I heard that they were good buddies. Yes, bagwell, biggio, and several others are still good friends from the two seasons he was there.
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:16 AM) Yes, bagwell, biggio, and several others are still good friends from the two seasons he was there. Hey. Blum begins with B. How the hell did he ever get away from Houston?
October 26, 200520 yr Blum may be a Ryan Cabrera lookalike, but I love the fact that we had all these posters saying "We visited the trading deadline and all we got was this lousy Geoff Blum" Man, anything KW has touched has turned to platinum.
October 26, 200520 yr I have to share this, it's too funny. The family went to my buddy's house to watch the game, but we had to leave in the 9th because my daughter has school today. So we put her to bed and watch the game - my wife goes to sleep after the top of the 13th. She tried to hang, but she just couldn't take it. So Blummer homers and I wake her up to tell her what happened. ( I have to admit/remind you here that she is a Cub fan at heart, but she's really happy for me and has gotten excited about the Sox playoff success ) She says to me, and I quote: "Who the hell is Geoff Blum???" I answered "He's my new hero!!!"
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 01:31 AM) Geoff Blum is the greatest man ever. i also love blum
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:41 PM) Blum may be a Ryan Cabrera lookalike, but I love the fact that we had all these posters saying "We visited the trading deadline and all we got was this lousy Geoff Blum" Man, anything KW has touched has turned to platinum. Yep looks like all of those posts saying "This offense isn't good enough to win a world series" just after the deadline when we didn't get Griffey were for naught huh?
October 26, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 07:42 AM) Yep looks like all of those posts saying "This offense isn't good enough to win a world series" just after the deadline when we didn't get Griffey were for naught huh? I think a lot of us are eating a little bit of crow this day. I ain't even gonna front. I've doubted this team a few times. But man, what a run. I'm mentally blown.
October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(S720 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 01:36 AM) Who the hell complained after Kenny got Geoff Blum? No you are right, most of us thought he was the piece to push us over the edge....
October 26, 200520 yr yesterday on boers and bernstein, they interviewed Blum and mentioned to him that sometimes the role players in the world series come up the biggest and to be ready.....blum said he would be ready....it will be interesting to listen to boers and bernstein today...i imagine they will replay yesterdays interview Edited October 26, 200520 yr by dmbjeff
October 26, 200520 yr Get the Blum jersey now. In 30 years, someone who sees you wearing it at a bar will relive the moment with you.
