What about Eurubio Durazo?

Featured Replies

DOes anyone else think that we could probably get Durazo relatively cheap? He's be a great replacement for Everett, IF healthy.

:gosoxretro:

Durazo's going to get a long, hard look from the White Sox...for better or worse.

Doesnt he have a problem with staying injured?

Same problem with Dye. I think he could be a good fit especially if Paulie is back.

154 games in 2003 and 142 games in 2004 overlooking his injury this season. Perfect "sign low" candidate. .919 OPS in 2004 remember.

What was his injury last year? And whatever it is, does it sound like something that could be nagging?

He had Tommy John Surgery, IIRC, or something to do with his elbow.

And does it sound like he'll have trouble coming back from this? I know it's a big thing to get that surgery, and it can be hit-or-miss with pitchers, but does it usually have a big effect on hitters?

Yes, it was in fact Tommy John Surgery.

Durazo is a very realistic option for this team this offseason.

I'm sure kenny has bigger plans, but if things fall through, i would have no problem giving durazo a shot, he's a very capable guy and won't have too many pursuers this offseason.

I really hope that Durazo would only be considered as a last resort. I think we should be looking at someone more versitile rather than a DH only player. If we are going for a DH only I would rather have Frank back.

Hey guys well this is my first ever post! Well this is my dream lineup.

Podsednik

Iguchi

Dye

Konerko

Durazo

Rowand

Pierzynski

Crede

Uribe

If we can't get Durazo than we should get pierre. and move Dye to DYE.

Hey welcome. Do you mean moving Dye to DH?

He is a hack on defense. I would rather have Frank. But he does have some pop and i think he bats left handed.

That is why he would DH. ;)

what about Matt LeCroy? He would be great off the bench.

We need someone who can hit better off righties since we weren't very good at all against them.

LeCroy's splits against righties; .228/.319/.322

I tend to think LeCroy will end up elsewhere anyways.

I'm looking Cleveland or Boston.

Durazo would make a good DH pickup...

Just say no to Matt "Fat Ass" LeCroy

How did you ever come up with a nickname like that?

Jabroni probally helped him out with that witty nickname.

What about Fatt LeCroy? Is that clever enough? :P

LOL...f*** sausage races....we could have the comedy of AJ, Crede and LeCroy racing before the game. For once, I think Joe would have his speed to fall back on....:P
