I read in Trade Winds you didn't find this topic worthy of creating a thread.

 

Admit it-- you believe a trade may go down, and changing McCarthy's number on the site is somehow an indication of this.

Actually, I would have expected him to switch to the number he liked to wear in the minors...

Miggy Cabrera changed from 20 to 24 (or the reverse of that) after they won the World Series. No reason why other than they want to change sometimes

Well, Buehrle is wearing 56...maybe that had somethin' to do with it. Beats me.

Garland used to be 52. You guys remember that? Players change there #s sometimes. No biggy. I doubt that its because of a potential trade.

You all are making the big leap of faith that the White Sox website is correct. There have been no stories or talk of Brandon changing his number so I wouldn't freak out just yet.

Well, the SOX website MAY be wrong. IIRC when the Sox reacauired Everett the 39th time, they had him listed as wearing #2, which obviously is retired.

I'll trust Papa McCarthy on this one.

 

Yeah, thank God we found that out before Soxfest, I am going to try to get my Bmac jersey done this year. Maybe now I'll be the first Bmac-55 on my block

Actaully, I think it would be kinda cool to have a Bmac 41 jersey. Kind of like a Rowand 44 jersey(Rowand44, you still suck), or like Garland 52.

 

Maybe even like a Borchard 25 jersey..... Only a few people will get that....

Every time we go to a game with that kid, i hear at least 10 people say "oh man, is that a borchard jersey?!"
