February 23, 200620 yr QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) Ah cool. If anyone needs it bigger, I can upload it somewhere else, just need to find somewhere that allows larger images. Boz - you can just upload it to the server as big as you want it... although the image shack seemed to work well.
February 23, 200620 yr Very good article. Jenks has certainly been through a lot. But he's definitely persevered.
February 23, 200620 yr Nice article. Its good to see he's come so far, and he's got his head in the right place now.
February 23, 200620 yr LOL! A bartender threw ice cubes at Jenks' head? What a dick... still hilarious though.
February 23, 200620 yr That's one of the great stories in baseball. Something tells me that Cotts and Jenks together could rack up a huge tab. I remember after clinching the ALCS, a sportscaster asked if Cotts prefered beer or champagne and he said, "No, whiskey." Sounds about right.
February 23, 200620 yr QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) id be interested to see what those names are as well THE RANKINGS Here's the 10th annual list of Sports Weekly's 100 Names You Need to Know: The next wave of players coming into the majors, who, in our view, could make the biggest impact during the 2006 season. These aren't necessarily baseball's 100 best prospects. Many top prospects are too far down in the minor leagues to contribute in the majors this season. Others are stuck behind established major leaguers. Not all of the players on our list have rookie status, but our criteria for inclusion is that players must have had more innings or at-bats in the minor leagues in 2005 than they have had during all of their major league time. February 23, 200620 yr QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) The Marlins are gonna be sick in 2-3 years. uhhhh... YEAH your exactly right.
February 23, 200620 yr Thanks for doing that boz. WTF his parents are nazis? I Bobby Edited February 23, 200620 yr by WHarris1
February 23, 200620 yr QUOTE(hi8is @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 05:18 PM) uhhhh... YEAH your exactly right. I say that not just because of that list. After the Marlins ended the Flubs run in 03, they immediately became my second favorite team. So I follow their system pretty religiously. Heredia and Olson are gonna be studs. And I don't think people realize the sick talent they got back from all the trades they made. Just give them 3 years. They'll be right back in the thick of things.
February 23, 200620 yr QUOTE(Whitewashed in '05 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) LOL! A bartender threw ice cubes at Jenks' head? What a dick... still hilarious though. I was at a small bar on the North side I think it was on Brodway watchin a sox game this summer, the bar tender (women) smacked my friend in the face for being a Cubs fan. Now that was hilarious.

February 24, 200620 yr Author The amazing thing to me is how well Jenks has handled himself in pressure situations as well as with the media. He was essentially isolated from society for a long time and it's remarkable to me that he has been able to manage pressure filled situations. I'm glad everything has worked out for him and look forward to seeing him succeed for years down the road. I know I'll always cheer for him.
February 24, 200620 yr Thanks for posting that. About that 10th annual list of Sports Weekly's 100 Names You Need to Know... I can't believe Cotts isn't on that list.
February 24, 200620 yr QUOTE(Wanne @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) Thanks for posting that. About that 10th annual list of Sports Weekly's 100 Names You Need to Know... I can't believe Cotts isn't on that list. That's a list of prospects who either have yet to reach the majors or have very little major league service time. Cotts doesn't qualify. Although I'm sure after his splendid 2005 season, everybody knows who Cotts is now. Edited February 24, 200620 yr by Jordan4life_2006
February 24, 200620 yr Interesting article. Thanks for scanning and posting it. Looking back at how Kenny took a chance on him and now Bobby is part a important part of this team and part of White Sox history. Edited February 24, 200620 yr by whitesox1976
February 24, 200620 yr I like the fact a teammate was mouthing off so he kicked his ass. I guess there really isn't a-lot of mouthing off to Booby Jenks any more.
February 24, 200620 yr Great article. Let's find out what bar that bartender worked at and go hose em down!!!
February 24, 200620 yr I can remember last year, every time they'd interview Bobby in a post-game show I was cringing, waiting for him to drop som John Rocker-esque boneheaded comment, or fly into some kind of crazy enraged angry rant, or whatever. It never came, and he couldn't have sounded like more of a complete class act. I was stunned. I also had to keep waiting for his WHIP to rise above 1.50. Never did And he only cost a waiver claim.

February 24, 200620 yr Thanks for posting that. Always good to know that a person can overcome his background to achieve things that at one point seemed unreachable. He is the White Sox version of Don Quixote. His daughter's name is Cuma ???
