March 7, 200620 yr QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) Michigan will own all. If by "own all" you mean, lose in the first round, then yes, you are right

March 7, 200620 yr QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) If they lose to Minny: Didn't Michigan State lose to Minnesota? Wait..
March 7, 200620 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) Didn't Michigan State lose to Minnesota? Wait.. Hey I'll be the first to admit MSU has underachieved big time. Thing is due to their recent success, 4 FFs in 7 years, they're a lock to be in at this point.
March 7, 200620 yr My Predictions (I need some practice for the real thing): Thursday #8 Penn State over #9 Northwestern #10 Minnesota over #7 Michigan #6 Michigan State over #11 Purdue Friday #1 Ohio State over #8 Penn State #5 Indiana over #4 Wisconsin #10 Minnesota over #2 Iowa #3 Illinois over #6 Michigan State Saturday #5 Indiana over #1 Ohio State #3 Illinois over #10 Minnesota Sunday #3 Illinois over #5 Indiana Tournament MVP-James Augustine
March 7, 200620 yr Always pick against Minnesota when they aren't playing in Minnesota Its an unwritten rule (although it might be written in some places) Edited March 7, 200620 yr by Felix
March 9, 200620 yr Penn State beat Northwestern 60-42 and will play Ohio State tomorrow. Michigan needs this win against Minnesota to get in.
March 9, 200620 yr If tOSU wins the confernce tournament, they SHOULD be a 1 seed...to win the conference outright and the tourney in the hardest confernce in the nation this year, and not be a #1 seed, would be ludacris.
March 9, 200620 yr Minnesota should be feeling good. Michigan leads 27-23 at the half, but Grier has ZERO points. Doubtful that trend will keep up.
March 9, 200620 yr I don't see it happening though. It has been proven in the past that the championship game has no effect on seeding. The committee already has the brackets made before the championship is over.
March 9, 200620 yr Anybody that is watching the Mich/Minny game, is there something wrong with Horton? Did he get hurt? On Espn it shows that he has played only 1 minute and has 0 PF's. Just curious. Edit: Ahh, nevermind, I checked CBS and he has 6 points, I'll go back to work now. Edited March 9, 200620 yr by Elcaballo45
March 9, 200620 yr QUOTE(Elcaballo45 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Anybody that is watching the Mich/Minny game, is there something wrong with Horton? Did he get hurt? On Espn it shows that he has played only 1 minute and has 0 PF's. Just curious. Are you thinking Grier? He got benched after committing 4 quick turnovers. He's done next to nothing. Minnesota is lucky to be in this game.
March 9, 200620 yr QUOTE(The Bones @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) I don't see it happening though. It has been proven in the past that the championship game has no effect on seeding. The committee already has the brackets made before the championship is over. But, if a team wins the tourney and conference outright in the best conference, a #1 seed should be given. I know the brackets are mostly done, but last minute changes have to be made. I dont see how Memphis is a #1 over tOSU as it is.
March 9, 200620 yr The fact that Minny is still in the game and Grier has not been scoring is good news for them. He'll eventually get hot, and should help the Gophers possibly win this thing.
March 9, 200620 yr You could make the case that going into Sunday's game, if it's Ill-OSU, they could have a 1 seed and 2 seed reserved. Winner would take the 1 seed, loser the 2 seed. Not saying that's what's going to happen by any means, but it's a possibility.
March 9, 200620 yr Gophers up 7 with 9 to go. Michigan might want to wake up or they're going to find themselves squarely on the bubble.
March 9, 200620 yr QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) But, if a team wins the tourney and conference outright in the best conference, a #1 seed should be given. I know the brackets are mostly done, but last minute changes have to be made. I dont see how Memphis is a #1 over tOSU as it is. It's extremely close, Memphis is one better in the rpi, osu's sos is a little stronger, memphis is 6 and 3 vs the top 50 while osu is 7 and 4 against the top 50. It's really a coin toss. March 9, 200620 yr Yes it is, as good as the big 10 is this year, and as down as the ACC is, the ACC still gets all the coverage...it's sickening(I know that was a big u-turn but it does bother me).
March 9, 200620 yr QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) Are you thinking Grier? He got benched after committing 4 quick turnovers. He's done next to nothing. Minnesota is lucky to be in this game. Oh man, I need to get off whatever I smoked today. Im completely confused. Yeah, it was Grier who I was talking about, but when I posted that, I decided to type in the other teams star player.
March 9, 200620 yr If michigan loses, are they still in the tourney?? That is like 8/11 losses, that is horrid.
March 9, 200620 yr QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) If michigan loses, are they still in the tourney?? That is like 8/11 losses, that is horrid. Bubblicious. It'll be close, I'd bet on them still making it though unfortunately.
