This guy doesn't deserve to be pitching in the majors.  I hope KW's not too proud to see that.

He has a 96 MPH fastball though... :bang

Lopez in to close it out.

Up to bat: Jamie Burke.

Yes. Against Diamondbacks AAA affiliate in Tuscon.

I think Lopez has had a pretty solid spring.

Lopez retires the first two on groundouts to 3B. Seriously though, he likes getting behind the hitters.

Got ya.

man f*** this ump. its spring training.

Lopez walks a batter, go ahead run up to bat.

It's not worth complaining, but atleast two pitches from the last AB should have ended the game.

You almost expect a walk off HR now.

3 straight change ups to end the game.

Nope. Game ends on a strikeout.

Overall, nice game from our club today. Can't expect much from Redding and Nomo anyways.

Nice inning by Lopez. Made that last dude look silly.

You are very correct sir. Lopez is a decent back up, Thornton is garbage so far. Tim Redding could fill the role if he keeps improving.

Yeah, I like Lopez at Charlotte in case Logan falters. But we have no one to replace Hermanson in long/middle relief right now.

Anybody have any details on Thorton's performance? Did he flat out get rocked? Where there some cheapies?

I don't think it was televised. It was just some Sox players against the Diamondbacks' AAA squad.

Alright then. I'm sure a more detailed breakdown of his performance will be up later.

I've been impressed with Lopez all spring.

Nice to see Anderson with 2 hits again.

It's nice that we knocked around Fabio Castro a bit. I doubt the Rangers will keep him on their opening day roster. They will either have to work out a deal for him with us or offer him back to us.

You're 100% correct for now, but let's just remember that our guys have had all of what, 2 days to work with him now?

Give them at least a few months, and hopefully we won't see him in too many 1 run games.
