Well, unless I'm missing something, Fabio Castro's 2005 pitching statistics look something like:

5W 5L  2.28ERA    79INN    37BB    75SO

While, Cotts' looks something like:

4W      0L      1.94ERA      60.1INN    29BB  58SO

Oh, and, I think I forgot, one of those two pitchers were pitchin in the big-leagues while one was at high-A ball.

I'm projecting....

At Castro's age, Cotts was still doing keg stands in Carbondale.

Castro's conquered High-A ball at age 20. I'd expect him to struggle if he made the bigs this year, but he's on a development plane that's ahead of Cotts.

Now that fastball on Iguchi was Cotts-esque.

Not often do hitters miss a straight fastball down the middle unless there's some deception.

I think it's safe to say that Scotty P. is in regular season form.

Why was he in Carbondale? Partying at SIU for the weekend?

My money would be keg stands in Normal.

Castro is a 21 year old lefty with good numbers. That's more than enough reason to want him back. Afterall, the "Legend of Boone Logan" is a 21 year old lefty and he's getting hyped to historic proportions.

Yeah, who would've thought a month ago we would be seeing Boone Logan avatars. :D

Admit it, you go to U of I. Who cares where the rest of those state schools are. They all suck anyway.

Or they're really struggling...

Which would explain how he knew where SIU and ISU are located

Damn. How often does a White Sox pitcher retire Mench on three straight pitches? Or retire him at all?

That's almost comparable to a relief pitcher going 2 scoreless innings against Oakland.

How is the "Legend of Boone Logan" doing?

Logan should be out of the inning, Anderson drops a deep fly ball.

It's growing to Michael Jordan like levels.

very well. He would be out of the inning if Anderson didnt get blinded by the sun. So basically he did very well.

nobody cares where U of I is either.

I'm not a scout, but as DJ said he does have deception. I wouldn't mind him back. Although that is unlikely.

BTW, im super pumped after watching scotty pods today.

what's the score?

QUOTE(bulokis @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 04:02 PM)

5-3 Sox

For those not watching.....how does Logan look today?

QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 04:03 PM)
For those not watching.....how does Logan look today?

Looked good. Sharp fastball, had a changeup that looked deceptive and was throwing his breaking ball low and inside to RH batters.

DJ is knobbing Tim Redding right now.

Time for Redding to lose the game.

And Redding Promptly gives up a bomb.
