Typically when players sign a contract extension the old deal is ripped up and the remaining years of the old deal are incorporated into the new deal. It is better than last years, but barely, and it was clear that the White Sox offense last year was one of the worst in the league. With that being said, this rotation is a great one, probably the best in baseball, and the bullpen is good enough to compliment it. 1-4 is a terrible start, no ifs ands or buts about it.
