Crash Breaks Nose

Featured Replies

Aaron made a great running catch with the bases loaded, but ran face-first into the wall and busted his nose.

Called "Crash" for a reason, eh?

Heal up soon, A-Row!

Gritty player and one of my all time fav Sox.

I love this guy. It was a tremendous catch, get well soon buddy.

Can a baseball player get by with a Rip Hamilton style mask and still stay in the game?

I just saw the replay of it on ESPN. Gutsy play by Aaron, and it was plays like that that made Rowand such a fan favorite. All out hustle, and showing no fear of the wall.

Win or die trying!!

P.S. Nice catch A-Row....heal fast, & get well soon.

did he break his nose? Was there blood? Sorry had to ask.

WUSS! :crying :notworthy AROW!!!!

Get well soon Aaron. We still luv ya here, and always will :cheers

Just gives it his all, all the time, that's why he'll always be one of my favorites. Get well soon Arow.

Rowand isn't afraid of no Damn wall :banghead

I heard Frank Thomas left the game today with an undisclosed injury

get well Arow...hopefully plays like that will keep those philly fans from being so ridiculous in the future.

Yeah, he was limping off.

But he's in his prime!

Yeah, blood on the outside of the nose and Aaron was spitting blood a little bit. Probably just dripped into his mouth. They reported it as definitely a broken nose.

I love Aaron Rowand.

Jim Thome used to talk about how he ranks guys into his "All Animal Team" and if I had one, I'd put Rowand at center.

Great outfielders don't see the wall, they taste it.

As good as Thome has been doing at the plate, and Anderson in the field, I still regret losing Rowand :(

Really??? :huh

Yes. That doesn't mean I still wouldn't do the trade (because I would) though.

Went off to a standing ovation, this guy is just tough as nails there is no way around it.

grinderball rule #25. rowand is a big reason the phils are playing so well as of late. hope to see you back on the field soon.

im so glad they like a-row there b/c he is sure missed like hell around here..get better soon Aaron

Oh man thats not good. Get well soon ARow.

As far as the trade Thome is just mashing and Anderson is coming around with just as good defense, but that doesn't mean you can't miss Aaron. The trade is definitley paying off, but Aaron was a great guy. Good luck on your recovery and your return Aaron.

I would venture to guess it was the hardest trade KW had to make in his tenure. Rowand is a cult hero around these parts, even as a Phillie, but it was worth it. Rowand is just balls out

It's hard not to miss him...but it's not like I'm not happy

Only Aaron Rowand could get 3 threads on Soxtalk for a defensive play by a non-Sox player.

Rowands impact on this site is amazing. The first score I look for every night is the Phillies score and its only because of Rowand.
